I like the 1.62 neck size and the thickness is better for my long fingers but after playing the 1.5 nut that Jeff got I found that Spector knows how to make the best front to back distance that I need, I also have the Kramer profile on my NS2A and the new NS4 which has about 1/16" less material front to back....so....if your not wanting a chunky neck you have these options. I think you already know about the circuit you want so I wont comment and agree the 9V is the best. If you want a reduced body weight and don't want to spend the time wondering when you will get the delivery of the build I would scroll up and take a look at the helium Todd posted and check with him about the neck profile or someone from the hang might know if it was shaved to the Kramer size?

The Forte necks are quite substantial, just saying. The US Bolt ons are awesome and fly a bit under the radar IMO.
You can order a Forte with a thin front to back profile so it won't be so chunky feeling.
I know I know, Big Blue feels like me too...I feel as though I'm selling a family member but because of my permanent shoulder injury and it's not getting any better but worse, I need a Spector that's more ergonomic plus less weight. I've given the Helium some thought...I too hope it stays in our Spector family here.
Wider strap yep, I currently use a 4" soft leather strap, I have the Spector logo soft strap but it really hurts my shoulder. I don't know if I can buy light enough tuners to cut 2#? Sitting hasn't been helping either. I believe a smaller bass body with the body curves of the NS 2 or 4 would help more with my arm/body posturing as well, which is my secondary thought. No...I'll probably go with the smaller bodies of the NS-2 or 4 style. But go BEAD tuning.Are you going to opt for a Helium NS-5?

I played Jeremy's and that neck was perfect for me. I don't know if it's the standard size or if it was a slim, but I fell in love with it
My Coda P is lighter than any of my NS2 basses, you might want to compare between them or its to the helium for you! That was my thought with the helium. Half the weight, all the strings.
Gary's bolt on bass is fantastic (NS2 bolt on I believe). I'm so glad he brought it because I've been interested in the bolt ons and I was very impressed. The finish is what you would expect from a US Spector. I own a Forte but I don't really know if I like a neck thru or bolt on better.

It sounds as if a lot of people are in the same position I am with thinking of ordering a new "Custom Spector". I was wondering if anyone can say with any accuracy if the ReBop and the Bolt on NS4-H have the similar / exact same size? The reason I ask, is I've gotten really fond of my ReBop's neck, but I want more options than what the ReBop offers. That's my main reasoning for looking into the US build. I was really hoping the necks are the same, since they're coming from the same factory.
