Here are 2 of my NS2A basses - one is a Samick era bass, and one is a very early model Kramer bass with no serial number. This should show the differences clearly.

Yep. Samick, like mine, is the second one I think (don't have it out now). Thanks for that.

I'm pretty well pleased with the one I have. It sounds and feels amazing. You people are so much help.

the output jack in my ns2a has been falling apart from the inside as of late, so next time I change anything inside (soon), I want to replace it. The one in there now has 3 terminals (like in this not very good schematic), but it looks like most of the jacks in guitars (and most of my buying options) have only two. With a mono jack, do I solder the ring and sleeve connections to the same (sleeve) terminal?

Don't ground this preamp to the bridge. Both ground connections are made via the jack.

You need to use a barrel jack with tip/ring/sleeve connections with a battery powered circuit such as this.

Now that is just too cool. You lucky bastards. I'm grendle green with jealousy (in a good way)...or is it envy? Either way.

Very cool, We need to have PJ pick a cool jam tune for the Hang just like this.....great job guys!

going through batteries like crazy is my guess... LOL!!
you can get a 1/4" TRS jack also called a Stereo jack at radio shack or radioshack.com , or any other electronics store and cheaper than buying it at the music store (usually).
You'll want the long threaded sleeve version (body mount) not the short panel mount type used on pick guards as it won't be long enough to go through the body of the bass.
