I think you may be right on the money when it comes to the neck on the Fortes. I absolutely love mine. But, that being said, Sam (Limaguy and the Godfather of Spector basses) did say it was one of the best necks of any Forte he had come across. It's obviouse that mine is a slimmer neck than most. I guess I would have to ask Iceboxbass (Mike) if he originally ordered it as a slim neck profile or not. But the consensus seems to be the Forte line is a little chunky. As for tone, I thought it was stellar with the OBP-2, but with the 18v Haz in it, it's just gloriousdrooldrool.

I will admitt I never turned up the bass on the OBP. I think it's a very accurate and dead on comparison to say it gets out of control and very "boomy" very quick. But as a straight in the amp sound goes, it was always Spectoracular. :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Wow, hard to believe the T.E. stuff is now vintage. Seems like only yesterday they were "the new hotness". I still dig their look, features & tone.
Also dig your dinosaur mascot. :thumbsup: I have a small "Toothless" Night Fury mascot on my home rig. :bassist:

Todd highly recommended the shaved neck when I ordered my Forte6, it seems like, unless ordered with the "Kramer shave" the US necks in general are chunkier than Euros.

I spoke with PJ at length about this when I ordered my Forte 4, he told me that the USA basses cannot be made with the exact same neck profile as the Kramer era basses because of the the graphite reinforced neck that the older Kramer basses didn't have. There is a "thin neck spec" available on USA builds but it's not exactly the same as the Kramer era basses.
