The Birdseye Maple is optional.

The Black Pearl hadn't been done before this one, but it probably will become an inlay option for the BEM necks.

The body wings are upgraded, special order AAAAA Tube Quilt Maple.

Everything else is stock...
Has the stock USA 9v USA (Haz) tone circuit, pups and hardware.

I know this isnt much after the JPS debut.

My NS-2A arrived.

It was 105 degrees in NYC today.
The bass felt like it was in an oven when I took it out of the box.
Two hours later, it is actually still warm.

I can't get my house to go below 80 and the AC has been on non-stop all day.

It's a 22 year reunion for this and my white NS-2A.
This one is ser# NS8195 the white is NS8106

I am not attempting to do any adjustments yet since it went through the extreme temps, but the action is already decent.

When I went to change the battery, the clip broke off, but since that happen it gave me an excuse to quickly make the 18 Volt mod.

It is sounding very nice. :bassist:

The neck is less beefy (front to back) then the white NS-2A and my others.

Awesome! Congrats Limaguy! New Spector day is new Spector day, that's awesome. Why do I have this feeling I am going to see Limaguy in an episode of "Horders" soon unable to walk through his house because of all the Spectors (I hope so!)

Nice LimaGuy! Congrats! My former NS-2A was a great playing bass and I know you'll love yours too. Same color also.

Haha, I think you may be right Spectors and Strings all over the house with my family and cats in the corner yelling for help.

I think I am already a canidate for Intervention at this point.

with my Heart Institute of Staten Island pillow in the middle.
I had to walk around holding that on my chest for about 3 weeks after my surgery.
A reminder of the pain I was once had, but now I have the joy and peace of holding my Spectors on my chest instead. :hyper: :bassist:

Patrick, congrats...that is the most popping black stain top I have ever seen. And the fretboard is very cool.

Limaguy, congrats dude...I need to get a Kramer Spector one of these days. I was a big fan of Kramer guitars back in my younger guitar days, and of course am a big fan of Spector....just seems natural!

For the price you can get a NS-2A for now. $350-$500
It may be one of the best deals out there.
They keep showing up here on TB, Ebay and Guitar Center.

Were you able to get the new NS-2A setup yet after it being so hot when you first got it?

My fingers are raw from playing this guitar today!
It's simply amazing sounding. And it feels/plays like my NS-4... the neck/action is perfect for me.

I'll make some recordings tomorrow. The depth of the tone... it's so rich.

I can honestly say that the 18v circuit is insanely powerful compared to the 9v. At comfortable settings on my amp for the NS-2, plugging the NS-4 in blows everything out. So although you'd logically expect that going from 9v to 18v... it wasn't an issue with the Euro models... but of course the TonePump is the variable here.

Anyway... I'm totally in love.

My wife has already named her "Onyx"... so when she names them, I know I'm in trouble... means I'm paying more attention to the bass than I am her. It's a jealousy thing. LOL.

Perhaps this has been asked and answered before, but what happens if you put 18V onto the TonePump? I bet there's some 16V caps in there that go poof and let out the magic smoke that makes it all work. My professional guess, of course.

I actually just finished at about 1:30AM
Got the neck adjusted, set it up with DR-HiBeams, the action is super low.
Besides the battery clip breaking, the input jack had a short in it. Luckily I had an extra input jack that fit perfect so she is all better now.

Surprisingly I like the straight EMG's at 18Volts w/ no onboard preamp. It is (P vol-tone) (J vol-tone)

I think I am going to keep this fretted and defret the ReBop instead.

My daughter keeps telling me to name them. If I leave it up to her they will all end up with SouthPark names. I will let you what we come up with. But I am sure one will end up being named "Butters"

What a gorgeous stable of battle axes LimaGuy! But there's something missing... No Fiver! :eyebrow: lol
