WOW! That looks simply amazing Patrick. I was going to suggest that you put a sticker of Captain Jack Sparrow on the bass but it might take away from the beauty a bit![]()
Freaking epic. Black and maple forever!

Wow. Opening the case and seeing it took my breath away. My wife is laughing at me... she said my eyes were wide like a pirate opening a treasure chest. LOL.

SWEET JESUS!!!![]()
Congrats JPS. That is a stunning example of the great work coming out of the Spector workshop these days. After you break it in, be sure to let us know how similar/different it is compared to your NS4.
I though something looked different about that bass. When did Stuart change the neck heel from the traditional bulky heal to this more sculpted version? It must be a fairly recent change as some of the US Neck Through basses on Bass Centrals site have both versions.

I'm assuming you'll post some sound/video clips, yes?![]()
Oh yeah. I'll probably mess around with some sound/video clips this weekend.![]()
Thanks! I can decide if I like staring at it or playing it more. LOL.
I FEEL your pain bro! I just had to tempt myself last weekend and grazed on CL. Thankfully nothing was listed that I'm looking for next! Whew!!!JPSBassist said:I clicked on the link to request photos and it wouldn't work for me. So post some here if you get them. I'd love to see the Holoflash. Not a lot of those have been made.
And dude you do... I stopped looking at CL and Ebay because when rare Spectors come up I want them.
It's like torturing yourself. Don't do it man! Look away! LOL!
No! Me first!!!Josh Pelican said:Please give it to me. Now.
lowfreqgeek said:You know, I could be wrong, but I get the feeling that the Czech basses ARE what the USA basses used to be, more or less. Rather than do what most US companies do when they produce overseas models, Spector upgraded their USA line to set it above the Euro line, rather than dumbing down the Euro line.
I'm sure there are still small difference (such as the TonePump), but overall, it seems the Euro basses are very much what the SSD era USA basses were, and the current USA basses are even better now. That's my take, anyway.
Verdee interesting!Ahhhh!JPSBassist said:+100%
I totally agree... having seen SPECTORs from all of the different eras of production, from the original Brooklyn models, through Kramer and the SSD years to the current models.
This is a very good observation.
WHOA!!!! (grabbing oxygen tank) That took my breath away!!! :eeks: Love the black pearl BEM contrast, and is the body that glossy or is it just wet from your drool?! ;D lol AMAZING!!!!JPSBassist said:... of the new case holding "The Black Pearl"...
