Spector Club - Part 11

I really will give it a chance. I've never seen/heard anyone slapping a Spector, so their preconception (to me) as a "rocker's bass, not a slapper's bass' may be undeserved. Personally, whenever I look at it there across the room (calling to me, whispering to me, telling me to stop working and come play me...), I see Eddie Jackson...

Whom, btw, I LOVE... But I don't emulate...

Ummm, so you never heard of or seen TM Stevens or Doug Wimbish?!? Flea used to play a Spector as well. Early Cameo vids shoes a Spector w/ the trapezoid Dimarzio pup being Thumped & Popped to great effect! You cats need to get out more! Lol

Well, you know my stance with luthier's right now :D Though, the one that couldn't figure out my Warwick didn't have 25+ years I am sure.

Hey, if we are calling dibbs, can I request the Rebop? :hiding:

You got dibbs on the ReBop.

I know, I am very nervous about having something go bad but this guy worked for Mandolin Brothers since the late 80's. He recently went out on his own and still does contract work for them. Mandolin Brothers is like the "Basscentral" of the guitar world. He did some work for me back in the 80's

So I am also pretty excited to see how this will come out.
He also does pickup and delivery on Staten Island. His shop is in Point Pleasant, NJ

He is a guitar player but the bass he owns is a NS-2A.
So he has to be good lol :bassist:

I dont think I am going to alter the white NS-2A.

I have that as my tuned down Bass Eb-Ab-Db-Gb
when I play the 80's metal songs. Sounds great for Ozzy Songs :bassist:

If I ever think of selling it. You have first dibbs.

Hows the Cases?
Cases are EXCELLENT!!!!

I assumed since they weren't mentioned that there were NO keys ...
but... SURPRISE! :bassist::bassist::bassist:
I got keys AND the cases were packaged very well..
Sam, You did a great job! Thank you SO much!
You're a :hyper::cool::bassist: (hyper cool bassist)!
Anytime your ready to adopt out the white 2A, I'm ready to give her a great home.:cool:

Nikki checking out the new cases. By the look on her face I think she thinks these are more fitting than the Ibanez case... LOL

Trace,
Glad you are happy with the cases.

See below, did I ship the cat with cases? LOL Same white spot too.

Funny thing when I was packing them, she ended up in the box 3-4 times I had to keep grabing her out.

When I was done taping the box, there was a moment when I thought she was in the box.

I don't claim to have great slap tone, but here is a rough mix of a track from my bands (The Icarus Effect) album that will be out soon.
