Ask him about it - I'm personally not convinced those are chips. The neck dose look more like it could be a gouge, but the body just looks like a reflection to me; there is a reflection of a similar shape and size seen in the picture of the back of the headstock.

Don't give up on it yet.

The spot near the bridge is the light reflection for sure.
As you dont see it in all the photos.
(also, in one photo the same spot is between the neck and the neck PU.)

The one on the neck also may be the light.

He probably has "high hat" spot lights in his ceiling.

I see the same type of reflections when I take photos of my basses.

$599 +$30 shipping I think is a bit high right now.

It is a buyers market for sure. Unless it is something very very rare, people are struggling to sell and are dropping prices alot. If you really want it I suggest making him a $499 offer, he will probably come back with a counter offer. Or wait about a week when he mad that there have been no bites and he may take $499.

The only legend I played was a bubinga one, but I own an NS-2000/4 and it rocks! The neck feels great and seems a lot slimmer than my Euro 4lx. I'm going to eventually put EMG 35DCs and a different pre in it. It's a solid bass! I think I paid about 400 for it.

I actually checked that bass out. If I recall correctly, the price is $2400. It has a really thin neck, and the pre is very hot. My friend actually sold that one along with the Blue one (possibly the last Kramer made) that was up there. Both were amazing basses. I'm hoping he bought the blue one back (he really didn't want to sell it). I really thought about getting the Brooklyn, but then decided to go for the Forte X instead.

You may be correct with the $2,400. It may have been the Blue Kramer NS-2 that was higher priced. He can be a bit overpriced sometimes. He had a used EuroLX Wimbish for $1,899 and wouldnt move on the price at all.

I did an entire Selkies cover as well as Prequel and both corrupted. Then somebody moved my tone knobs which took 12+ hours to get.

I don't think I'll be covering for a while. Might finish up Mordecai & Shevanel or start on Swim to the Moon. :bassist:

It was very, very cool to meet PJ Rubal tonight at the Queensryche show in DC! Felt like I was drawn in a little closer to 'the family'! If I had any doubts about keeping "Natalie", they were scorched after hanging out with PJ and watching Eddie JAckson for a few hours (But Eddie's disturbing tendency to switch over to his weak-ass Mike Lull Jazz basses occasionally made for some disappointing periods during their show).

Looking forward to Natalie's first gig this Friday night at "Cowboy Up" in Bluefield, WV!

thanks for the email and pics. I am glad you are interested
in our basses.

this appears to be a Korean made NS-2A from the late 1980s
that has been modified with gold hardware, USA style inlays,
diff knobs, EMG pickups, etc.

yes that appears to be an upgraded circuit in there, our USA 9v circuit.

NS 1119, yes that would be the serial number for that model.
this bass was made in approx. late 1987/early 1988 when new.

when new these basses had a list price of 899.00. I am not sure
what they are selling for used these days, you can Google and also
check ebay completed listings. then factor in the upgrades and the
wear on the bass....

Although I can hear it now... why the offset saddle height adjustment screws...

The intonation screws are added in the USA Workshop. So these bridges are made without intonation screws originally. Which is why they have the offset height adjustment placement.
