No Worries.

You don't need a camera... just a script and a microphone and some photos. We can create a narrated (your story by you) video that uses photos instead of live action.

How does that sound? Sam or I can help you put everything together.

This goes for anyone without a camera.

And just to be sure... I wasn't upset about the Evan comment... it was funny... just wrong dude... Basically because why did you have to bring Doug into it... LOL...

Anyway... I saw your NS-4. Wicked beautiful Buckeye Burl... you're going to LOVE that bass. That 18v Circuit has headroom all day. It's a sick sounding bass. :bassist:

JK..... I'll work on writing the story.... Maybe I'll ask around and see if I can borrow a cam... oh, wait... well... %&% my parents have one but it's in Calif. and Dad is on the Mounted Shooting Association Competition circuit... maybe when they get home I can have 'em ship it to me.
I'm a liiiiitle far away.... You're closer than I am at the moment.. LOL

Really, I have to admit that I know about his history and his formerly being married to Tara Patrick... but Evan's a serious musician and has a ton of talent and history as a musician... so I just don't think of him in terms of anything else.

I left marketing and got into film production... I came out of my self-imposed retirement to work as a consultant with SPECTOR... it's the first company I can think of since the start of my career that I can honestly say I'd never have a problem endorsing their products.

Give Evan a break... we all know that in the back of our minds we'd love to be him for a day when he was rockin' the big stages all night and rockin' the San Fernando Valley during the day... now that's Rock-n-Roll. LOL.

No, no, no, don't get me wrong, just making a joke, no judgement here AT ALL! Evan Is a great player, I would love to hear a SPECTOR (now you have me doing it with all caps, I say we all start doing that! lol) story with him in it. I really enjoyed him on the show Supergroup, he got to play with Scott Ian and Jason Bonham, two of my favorite musicians of all time.
You are also right about his day job, no more rock and roll jobs than that during the day and rocking at night!

I just offered that he can barrow my extra JVC Everio camera.

I forgot to mention in the forum that my Spector Addiction has not stopped with the NS-95.

There was some extra $$ after the sale of the ReBop and the purchase of the NS-95.

The following is arriving to my house on Weds.

The thing to remember is you don't need a fancy camera. You don't need fancy lights.... you don't have to have a story that's anything you think might be exciting... you just have to LOVE playing your SPECTOR and you just have to be able to put that feeling into words. THAT's what MY SPECTOR STORY is about... not how we are different... cancer, heart conditions, fame, obscurity... whatever... it's how we are ALL the same because WE GET IT when it comes to why these are the best bass guitars on Earth and why we are proud to play them.

This makes us all brothers *and sisters for the growing number of lady bassists out there...

So please... Sam is hard-core. Don't push his buttons. Do a video for me and help me spread the good word. Please. :-)

Yes, Stuart Spector actually sent me a email regarding my video. (yes I admit I was acting like a 5 year old, I was so excited) :hyper:

And my wife finally got someone from the Simmons household to see the video.
She didnt get Gene, but Shannon Tweed watched it and responded to my wife on Twitter.
(Notice she mentions not to forget to enjoy my axe once in a while)
It's showing on my wall in the video.
(Sorry Ms.Tweed, it has been sold for another Spector.) :bassist: :D

Just in case you missed the history lesson... LOL... the SB-1 was the bass that Ned Steinberger created the NS-Bass from.

Back then Stuart would put the wings on the neck before finishing the neck. He learned quickly that this wasn't a good idea... for if you mess the neck up you've also lost a set of wings. So a failed SB-1 with a damaged/messed up neck became the platform for Ned's curved body bass.

In essence, other than the body shape (except those horns should look very familiar... the horn shape was something Ned didn't change), this is basically the same bass as an NS-1. Same materials, pups and electronics... just a different shape.

Whoever gets this is really getting a piece of history. This is one for a display case!
