Maybe this will motivate everyone.
Yes, Stuart Spector actually sent me a email regarding my video. (yes I admit I was acting like a 5 year old, I was so excited)

And I'll tell you... it's very common to hear back from PJ. Actually you WILL always hear back from PJ...
Stuart on the other hand... it is very, very, very rare for him to send emails out... and not because he doesn't like to but because he just usually doesn't has the time.
I was very happy that Sam's story prompted Stuart to contact him personally.
I can tell you that I started My SPECTOR Story for two reasons... first is to share the obsession we all seem to get with these amazing instruments with others; through our love of SPECTOR basses/guitars we have more in common that one would think. And secondly because I sincerely believe that Stuart's legacy to the World is the joy that thousands and thousands of lucky SPECTOR owners get from his years of hard work and dedication. Stuart has had every reason, numerous times in his career to walk away from the often difficult life that building guitars brings... and he hasn't. And each of us is the reason why. Nothing... NOTHING makes him smile wider than having a complete stranger walk up to him at NAMM or at a concert and thank him for what he does. It's the fuel that keeps his fire burning bright.
In the hellish days I suffered through... going through chemotherapy, my beat up Q4 kept me hungry for more SPECTORs... better SPECTORs... and made each day a little less hellish. And for that I'd follow Stuart to the ends of the Earth to tell anyone/everyone how awesome these guitars and basses are.
That's the main reason I started it. These little messages and stories are my way of giving back to Stuart and letting him know that I appreciate all that he does and has done. Where would any of us be if he had followed through with his promise of getting out of the guitar building business after Kramer folded? The world would be much less magical for us all.
Through these stories you have a chance to speak directly to Stuart and share with him your passion for what he does.
