Finished up my NS2A revamp::D

EMG active P & J pickups
EMG BTS(2band) pre
Spector Euro bridge
Spector Euro tuners

Did you do the bridge routing and pickup cavity widening yourself? If so, great work, mang. I was thinking of doing the same mods to my NS2A, but with a Legend bridge (now that routing job has me thinking) and Gotoh GB7s plus a brass nut. I'll also be chucking the Haz copy pre in favor of a BTS.

Again, great work. Very inspirational.

Morning fellow spector fans. Thought I'd share this instrumental track that does a good job of highlighting my Euro LX's tone. A couple of you may remember that I swapped out the tonepump pre with a US9V pre that I bought direct from Spector earlier this year. Soundclip is attached at bottom of post.

Here's the bass again...

This is about the first minute or so of a track that will eventually have vocals, but y'all probably don't care about that anyway. ;)

Here's the signal chain. HazlabEuroLX > Sansamp VT > Avalon Mic Pre > board. I haven't had a chance to see what if any compression or other effects he's put on it yet.

Thanks all for the compliments on my NS2A.

(You are giving me ideas now.... )

This place will do that to ya for sure

Sweet. That's killer! Nice... how does she play and sound now?

Sound great the BTS was a nice change with the active EMG's(wired @ 18v) and it always played nice but the Euro bridge adds a little something that wasn't there with the original bridge.

Very cool! I'm doing the same thing. But how'd you get a Euro bridge in there, I was told the Legend bridge was the only one that would fit? Maybe you can help me with the wiring...

To get the Euro bridge in the bass I had to do a little routing ( I used a Dremel tool with the routing attachment) but figured since I had to widen the pickup routes might as well do the bridge too. It was an after thought thanks to my daughter who said she like the red bass in the Spector broucher which was a Wimbish model with the gold hardware(which I was able to pick up the Euro hardware here in the classifieds for a great price)

AWESOME RE-MAKE Basstones!!!! She looks amazing!!! Always wonder what she would look like in gold. You done well! How does she sound? Real snarly I bet?!
Brought a tear to my eye...

The bass really has that Spector growl with the actives and I really like the gold with the cherry burst. Plus it was a great bass to begin with. :bassist:

The bass tone is amazing. Such a clear growl that stands out. WOW.

Nice sounding track! Are the guitars thru a DI as well, or guitar rig or similar? They sound good. The bass has killer looks AND tone!

Dude that sounds freakin SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm thinking of doing this to my Euro 4 now!!!

I think Spector might want to stock up on their supply of 9V USA Tone Circuit's :) That sounds simply amazing!

Looking at the info for it on the Spector store, it says the USA 9V Tone Control works in Euro LX models so has anyone tried this in a Euro 5LX by chance? I am not even sure it would work since it I have only seen this USA 9V system in basses with a P/J config.

The NS-4 only has 3 knobs so that is out of the question for a Euro 5LX since it drilled for 4 knobs. Unless there is a way to split out the stacked knob from the 18V circuit. You guys have me thinking too much now :)

I have seen a few Euro 5'ers with the Haz 9v installed. The pot shafts are slightly larger so the holes in the control cavity have to be enlarged. EMG soapbars will run on 9v. You can even get the soapbars in P and J configurations.

Nino Valenti installed a 3 knob Haz in a 4 hole configuration. There might still be pictures on this site.... Somewhere. :)

What was the end result of the whole strap discussion?

No official word yet as to when other than "soon", but straps with a major strap maker doing the Double-S logo on their very popular brand of strap is coming.

You guys will be the first to know the details as soon as they are shared with me and I'm given the OK.
