Spector Club - Part 13

Morning fellow spector fans. Thought I'd share this instrumental track that does a good job of highlighting my Euro LX's tone. A couple of you may remember that I swapped out the tonepump pre with a US9V pre that I bought direct from Spector earlier this year. Soundclip is attached at bottom of post.

This is about the first minute or so of a track that will eventually have vocals, but y'all probably don't care about that anyway. ;)

Here's the signal chain. HazlabEuroLX > Sansamp VT > Avalon Mic Pre > board. I haven't had a chance to see what if any compression or other effects he's put on it yet.

P.S.
A very different bridge then I have seen before on a guitar.
I am having a bit of a hard time adjusting the individual string height on this bridge, If anyone knows how shoot me a PM.

Sweet. Thanks.

This bass is a HUGE upgrade from my Washburn. Now I have tonal options instead of a P pickup with a single volume knob.

I'm on the hunt though for the sweet spot but I think I'm getting there tone wise. need to play this thing live now soon.

Aaaaannnnnd...my new Spector Performer purchase! All the good talk about the Performer has me curious. Soooo since I don't have a Spector dealer within 3-4 hours away, I decided to buy one to try it out. :bassist: Should be here in 2-3 days...if Irene doesn't interfere! :eyebrow: The picture above is the advertisement...will post better pics when it arrives. GAS GAS GAS GAS!!!! :nono:

The hat's covering the top of my Yamaha RBX-170, which I love dearly. It was a panic buy when I broke (literally and damned near completely) an Ibanez, trying to toss it over my shoulder. Oh, I tossed it, all right!

The Spector is making its way into my heart but I want to take it out and make some noise with it. I can feel the wood sustaining so much more than my other basses. The Fender 5 is close, but that's a different animal.

Speaking of 5's... I'm not crazy for 'em, but would a Spector have a tighter string spacing than the Fender? It's a nice slim neck, but wide across the fretboard and I prefer a narrower neck. It has a surprising thud against the ribs, but it just feels so... big and insistent. (It insists upon itself. Family Guy fans?)

Anyhoo - here I am, playing a Spector. Also, what's the best Spector for metal?

I am not sure what the string spacing is on a Fender but the Spector is going to be 16.5 mm which is pretty narrow.

The best Spector for Metal you ask? Why the Alex Webster model of course
