What was the end result of the whole strap discussion?

No official word yet as to when other than "soon", but straps with a major strap maker doing the Double-S logo on their very popular brand of strap is coming.

You guys will be the first to know the details as soon as they are shared with me and I'm given the OK.

You tell me this after I ordered a custom XL from Levy's? :(

I'll be having one of those! :D

I've been quiet here while making sure my intentions toward these girls were pure... or that I was relatively sure they were hanging around.

Give me whatever numbers are applicable.

Rebop NB4697 - Tonepump and 2x EMG 40P5's (8lbs)
Rebop NB5320 - EMG BQC, 40DC and 40CS (7.5lbs)

Those are sweet!!

Thx. Both are refinished before coming to me. The Red one has the nicest finish. The brown stained one was pretty dry and a bit worn looking so I smoothed it out some and put a couple coats of Gun Oil on it which I think keeps a lot of the stain earthyness, but also gives it a bit of shine.

Surprising thing for me is that the Brown one's neck is noticably slimmer than the red ones neck is. Even by holding them up side by side you can see a difference.

Those are LOVELY my friend. :)

Welcome stlfbn! You are #248 :bassist:

You're on a roll! And almost out of the woods... :D

Morning fellow spector fans. Thought I'd share this instrumental track that does a good job of highlighting my Euro LX's tone. A couple of you may remember that I swapped out the tonepump pre with a US9V pre that I bought direct from Spector earlier this year. Soundclip is attached at bottom of post.

Here's the bass again...

This is about the first minute or so of a track that will eventually have vocals, but y'all probably don't care about that anyway. ;)

Here's the signal chain. HazlabEuroLX > Sansamp VT > Avalon Mic Pre > board. I haven't had a chance to see what if any compression or other effects he's put on it yet.

Sounds great man! Love that white, it's badass.

Interesting...

If I wanted to refinish the Rebop that i'm getting, what would need to be done?

Would it hurt the value?

That does sound damned good. Pretty close to the "sound in my head". Nice.

I can't tell you about it if I don't know about it.
And I learned about it today.
And I'm waiting for more info so I can tell you who is making them, what color(s) they'll be, how much and when they'll be available... I just remembered this discussion when it was brought up to me today.
Sorry guys!

I guess I should have put a :) there as well. I'm not terribly heart broken. I just like the idea of a Spector strap holding my Spector bass is all. :D

Thanks for the update though!

A Little Cousin has joined the Spector Family today. ARC 6 (made in China)

What a great instrument for the money. Very impressed with the finish and overall quality and sound.

P.S.
A very different bridge then I have seen before on a guitar.
I am having a bit of a hard time adjusting the individual string height on this bridge, If anyone knows how shoot me a PM.
