Spector Club - Part 13

Hey Icebox, it's a Jackson Kelly. Our guitarist is coo coo for cocoa puffs when it comes to Jacksons, especially Kelly's. He has 4 or 5 really nice ones.

I can vouch for that. He was a Gator so naturally his other Kelly is BLUE. :D

No. Any SPECTOR will do. It's about how you love the bass and it makes you feel. Nothing more or less. Most of us, including me, didn't get new SPECTORs to start with. I started with a used Q4... then a used Legend. Then a used NS-2A...

Awesome, I may have to try to submit one of them. :)

Are those shorts with that white Spector?

Shorts with long johns under them. :rollno: Again, long time ago, not sure what I was thinking, but I think that picture was a new year's eve show in Wisconsin, so it would have been cold outside...

I'm more concerned about the airbrushed dolphin on the guitar player's pants and that vest on our singer. Fashion was not one of our strength apparently.

Awesome, Just Awesome!

iceboxbass Wow Chris! Your band seems to have quite the stage show going! Some beautiful basses bro! I am especially eyeing that Doug! It's on my (big) buy list! Lol :D How'd your benefit turn out overall? Great I hope!! Peace bro![/QUOTE said:
The Benefit was put on by my sister and there were 7-8 bands from Fargo that I had known guys in or played with guys from that played. It was an all day event ending up with a huge band from 20 years ago reuniting for the first time in 20 years to play. They drew a huge crowd, it was just tons of fun.

It made enough money to make up partly for me being out of work with my leukemia for 7 months, so that was totally awesome. Because of my sister and friends, we didn't have to move, change our lives too much, just cut back on a couple of things and we were fine.

This is what makes my wife saving up for my NS-4 so amazing, we cut back on a bunch of things, she found a way to secretly save up money for a 40th birthday present for me. :crying: Amazing woman.

Thank you for sharing this Chris! That is just so awesome!
Hard times have a way of making us appreciate simple things and good things, like SPECTOR, that much more. :hyper::bassist:

LOL!

Actually SPECTORCental.com version 2.0 is going to launch soon. New design/interface and yes... You'll be in good company with the new My SPECTOR Story artists that will joining you shortly including Doug Wimbish, Carlton Armstrong, John Montagna, Abe Millett and of course Ra Diaz. I'll be doing interviews with Nicki Tedesco, Aalics Bronson and I'm going to see if I can get Evan Seinfeld (Biohazard). So we'll see.

I am the only Independent non-endorsed bassist to make a video so far.
Come on people, you can't pass up being on a page that will eventually have Doug Wimbish & Evan Seinfeld on it. Then you can tell all your friends,
"check out my video, I am between Doug Wimbish & Evan Seinfeld.

chrisloe: has 30 days from when he gets his NS-4. (I have already harassed him on his facebook page.) :eyebrow: :D

deluccajohn2000: have your script ready next time you stop over my house or I will mess up your intonation during the setup on purpose.

Tracebassplayer: Its been way too long for you. You have 30 days from today or I am calling the police for stealing my cat. :ninja:

iceboxbass: I know you have a Camera, enough said! :p

peledog: You said you were working on yours. Hows it going? :hiding:

madbassplaya: you are new so I will give you some time before I start harassing you. ;)

Don't be intimidated if you are shy, I am very shy but once I started talking about my Spectors, it felt all good.

Don't be intimidated by not knowing how to edit.

Like I mentioned a while back, if anyone needs help editing it, send me the video I will do it for you. :D

Hahaha! I'll be honest, I didn't notice the airbrushed dolphin or the vest, but yes, both of those should be addressed as well! Love the white Spector though, for real! :D

Haha! Let me see if I can borrow a friends camera. You know that you and Icebox are a part of why I'm here. I totally hold you guys responsible!

I'll be honest. I thought you had leg warmers on when I first looked at that picture :D Hey, didn't bands like Alice in Chains and Soundgarden wear long john's under shorts when grunge was popular? Much more manly than a spray painted dolphin if you ask me, LOL.

With Evan's history in porn, I will not be saying "I am between Doug Wimbish & Evan Seinfeld". (cue rimshot, "Thank you, I'll be here all week).

Noted on 30 days, NS-4 should be here by the end of the week ;)

Ooooh man! If I wasn't saving for a USA SPECTOR I'd buy that white! Must...fight...GAS!!! :crying:

Really? You'd give 750.00 plus shipping for an NS-2A ??:eyebrow:

I talked to the cat...she says...
"Come and get me, Copper! You can't catch me, see? yeah, See?" :D

Thank you for putting the pressure on! This is awesome. Really guys... this site gets a ton of traffic. And it's being endorsed by Stuart and PJ... they're allowing me to connect it to the Official Spector site. So for you guys who don't meet the full-time recording contract Endorsement deal... you can still be known for your love of playing, love of SPECTOR basses and still be part of the family. Heck, to me for participating here you already are.

And Stuart watches these videos personally. Sam can attest to that. Stuart asked me for his contact information after watching Sam's video.

The thing to remember is you don't need a fancy camera. You don't need fancy lights.... you don't have to have a story that's anything you think might be exciting... you just have to LOVE playing your SPECTOR and you just have to be able to put that feeling into words. THAT's what MY SPECTOR STORY is about... not how we are different... cancer, heart conditions, fame, obscurity... whatever... it's how we are ALL the same because WE GET IT when it comes to why these are the best bass guitars on Earth and why we are proud to play them.

This makes us all brothers *and sisters for the growing number of lady bassists out there...

So please... Sam is hard-core. Don't push his buttons. Do a video for me and help me spread the good word. Please. :-)

Dude... that's just wrong.

Really, I have to admit that I know about his history and his formerly being married to Tara Patrick... but Evan's a serious musician and has a ton of talent and history as a musician... so I just don't think of him in terms of anything else.

Heck, I used to be a corporate marketing puke that used a psych degree to help companies with garbage products figure out how to best... persuade... people to spend their good hard-earned money on their crap... And trust me... the honest truth is that Evan's "other" job is more respectable to me. At least there's no pretending on his part of what he was doing.

Me? I used to try and ignore the fact that 80% of the crap that I helped market that made my clients millions of dollars was stuff people "needed".

I left marketing and got into film production... I came out of my self-imposed retirement to work as a consultant with SPECTOR... it's the first company I can think of since the start of my career that I can honestly say I'd never have a problem endorsing their products.

Give Evan a break... we all know that in the back of our minds we'd love to be him for a day when he was rockin' the big stages all night and rockin' the San Fernando Valley during the day... now that's Rock-n-Roll. LOL.
