I could never order something like that or the black pearl and not play it till my fingers fell off. Lol But that's just me.

My current love affair is with my newly acquired ns2000. Not a collector by any means, but after a fret job , new strings and a set up, she really plays like a dream.....and I'm not afraid to take it out of the house lol. Looks nice too. Just needs gold hardware now lol. I don't know what the pre is but it sounds great in this one. Nothing like the Hz's and pump originally in my euro.

+1! Why have a bass you can't play right?!?! SPECTOR basses are made to be played!!!!:bassist: That's what I enjoy about my NS-95 SSD also...It's some what rare but I love to play it! She just asks to be played! I just treat her with respect! Take care of her. And she sounds as beautiful as she looks! :bassist:

I've never seen an actual NS2A with USA hardware unless it was an aftermarket upgrade by the owner.

The "NS2A's" with actual USA bodies/necks will have an insert in the bridge area that can only be seen if the bridge is removed or the paint is stripped. They were already routed for the larger USA bridge and had to have a wood insert placed around the smaller NS2A bridge.

Interesting. Mine didn't have 'filler' - it had foam. :hmm:

You have a WHITE NS-2???

And you live.. where? :ninja:

lol. In a place down by the river.........
RUN! RUN! RUN for the safe room! LOL :ninja:

So I dropped of my Daughter at preschool today and she was so excited because she had her La La Loopsy doll for show and tell day, and I thought, man, that would be fun with the Spector club. I would like to see some of your basses and know the stories behind them. Okay, maybe it's dumb, but o well.

I'll start. Last night my sister mailed me DVD's of a benefit that she put on for my family and I back in February (I had leukemia, but it's gone now, I'm good). As I was watching, I realized something, this could almost have been called a Spector event.

There were 6-7 bands that performed, some of them were acoustic bands (Like my friends Mick and Casandra Mae, who is in the finals for Karaoke Battle USA tonight on ABC) and had no bass player. Every Bass player that played played a Spector bass. My friend Sean played his Euro Doug Wimbish signature, my friend Karl who played in 2 bands played his Euro 5 string, and I played 2 songs (Couldn't play any more than that, had numb fingers from the chemotherapy) and I played the Euro Doug Wimbish signature, so no other bass brand than Spector was played on the stage all night.

If that wasn't enough Spector, the local music store that I used to teach at, Marguerite's Music, a Spector dealer, donated a Spector Legend bass for the silent auction.

Here are pictures of Karl and Sean, 2 of the best people and bass players I know.
That's awesome stuff Chris!:hyper:

Legend for the auction.
Looks just like mine! (my first SPECTOR love,sigh...and still have)

You know how players on here complain about the output of the EMG TW pickups in single coil mode... Yup. I tried it and did not like it. To top it off, when I was removing the rear pickup I chipped the finish because it was so snug.:crying:
:eek::ninja::bawl:

I was sooo saying that out of jealousy too lol. But it is kind of like having a 427 Shelby cobra you drove around the corner just once. Play em, collect em , whatever. Just know if their within my reach, their gonna her some finger prints on em, and they will feel my love! :)

I'm serious though! Whether I owned a $80K sports car or a $20K SPECTOR, I would drive and play them but treat with TLC. I couldn't help myself!:ninja: :rollno::D They'd be calling my name...:bassist:

Like this one??

Ah...Trace...but that's not a Legend 4X :eyebrow: That is a beautiful blue though! I likey!!! :D I hope you can sell it soon!
My Performer 4 is still available too.:crying: I have it on eBay & TB & CL.

I love the X body shape and was thinking about getting one as my next bass but it seems like it would be really tough to get to any fret above 20 due to the lower horn.

The Rex pro seems like it would be a better fit for me if I were to go that route since it has a lower cut away and would be easier to access the frets.
