Way to go LimaGuy! :bassist: congrats!!!! :D
Wow! Mid-late Feb?!?! Did you order thru BC?
which pre did you order? Hang on bro! Time will fly by!

Yes to BC.
I ordered it with the stock OBP2.
Because of NAMM everything will be a bit backed up in Saugerties.

I will need therapy once you start posting your pics. ;) :hiding:

Only 26 days to go! FORTE TIME! :bassist::cool:

He is rubbing it in now. :crying:

Remember I live in NY, I may just drive up to Saugerties and take yours. :ninja: :p :D

(Hi Stuart, Beaver said I can have Michael's Forte.) :ninja:

Actually, I am excited for you to get yours since I know you will be providing an excellent detailed report. :hyper: :)

I have pulled the trigger and ordered a Forte 4. :hyper: :bassist:

But it will be made from scratch and will not be ready till after NAMM, so the ETA is mid-late Feb 2012. :bawl: :help:

But I need some time to get the funds up anyway so its all good.

Awesome man... Congrats..You deserve it.It will be here before you know it.

Pulled the trigger on that NS20004 on ebay, since all it needs are the electronic guts and I have tons of parts lying around on my workbench.
The tuners look pretty crapped up but I have a couple sets of those too.

I would think Schaller M4 tuners should fit since the higher quality spector models used those right?

Anyone have a Haz copy (the import version that works for passive pickups) they'd be willing to sell? :D

How does it work when you order a USA? As in, do they make you pay a deposit and then the rest when your order is ready? Or what? I've always wondered cuz that would mean I could buy my dream bass earlier than expected :D

Ha! You think you're getting away that easy???:ninja:
You'll need the guys in white coats holding your white jacket ( I'm not talking Dinner or smoking jacket) after I start posting my sound clips.
:D;)

I have yet another question for you Spector experts:
I noticed on the Spector website that the stock pre for a Rebop is the TonePump (Bridge, Neck, Treble, Bass--right?). On my Rebop, however, I have a volume pan pot, a stacked mid pot (low mid/high mid?) and a stacked treble/bass (boost/cut on each?) pot. I bought it used, so it would make sense if it was an aftermarket install/custom order. Anyways, I opened 'er up a and I looked at the components & stuff and I couldn't find any labels or logos or anything. Could this be a no-name preamp? Or maybe it's a custom order and the logo wasn't placed? I'm not sure, but it's been something I've been wondering for a while now. Thanks again, guys!

Congratulations!!! Make sure to take before, during and after pics plz.?
It'll be very interesting to see what the final product will be!

I'm afraid so. I've been keeping an eye open for a spector for a while. I saw this one on ebay and I pulled the trigger. The upgrades peledog did are what I would have done. After I committed to buy, I discovered this forum. It seems you guys have a great community here, hopefully I'll be able to contribute to it.

All our welcome to the amazing world of Spector! :D

Almost sure it must be aftermarket. That's actually the configuration I want in my Rebop. How do you like the sound of it compared to the tone pump, or have you even heard the tone pump preamp?
