Funny, if you had asked me about my dream Spector about 10 years ago, it hands down would be the trans blk with blk hardware. There are so may out now and so much more variety, now I'm not so sure. It is everything I ever wanted though. And I have a set of gold hardware so I could always change it up if I wanted. I think I want my next one to be special.

Wellit sounds like trans black with black hardware has been your dream SPECTOR for 10 years...sounds pretty special! :bassist:

Hey guys, don't ever make the mistake of posting anything over on the Double Bass side of TB.

The guys over there are so insanely uptight and close-minded.

I wanted to share the innovative construction materials and setup that Miles Mosley has worked on so his upright bass doesn't get feedback when it's walked up to an amp.

Oh man. I got a bunch of guys (who never commented on the subject at hand) tell me I was posting in the wrong place.

And that quote, "The tone of a bass belongs to a bassist", therefore my post belonged in the Bassist section of their side of the forum, not in the general musings about the upright bass as an instrument.

Really? Is it just me or are the guys over there really, really unhappy with us solid body guys so how dare any of us stick our toe into their water...

Man. What a disappointment. I'll stay right here from now on where I'm surrounded by cool and nice people who love their instrument enough to be open-minded about things.

Yea, I saw that post. From what I hear, the upright guys can be a bit uptight. In their defense, it probably should go in the "Bassist" section. As I've seen people here post about bass players and their "bass" but it is moved.

I like Miles and what he does. Most upright players aren't going to care for it. IMO.
