And here's where the haz currently resides, it is quite happy in its new home....she's a 7.5 pound killer in cadillac pearl white.

Oh, my life! That's a lovely piece there....

I LOVE my white Spectors.... but that 'pearl white' is a beauty! :hyper:

Guys, I may soon be leaving the Spector club! I have my Zebop for sale privately in the UK. I love this bass but I have a Status Graphite to take care of now and funds are short.

She's been a blast to own and in years to come I will be back to the Spector club! :D

Easy there everybody. I assume when the term 'boy' was used, it was as in dude or man and no offense was intended.

hehe! boy wasn't a derogatory directed at tim, boy was meant as in 'well golly shucks i'm confused' which sounds somewhat flanderish :D

thanks for helping, i also sent an email to spector.

so can you tell me what, if any tone differences are there? i'm loving the sound of what i've got - just curious.

I've always really liked the sound of the stock 2a electronics package as well. Sounds more like a warwick than a spector, but still sounds great.

PS, I was ribbing about the "boy" comment.

I was just thinking how I wished my Spector sounded like a Warwick too! Now I'm stuck with my Spector just sounding like a crummy Spector with it's weak-*** growl. Maybe someday Spector will be as awesome as Warwick.

/Sarcasm

To judge an original against a copy... :scowl:

(Don't take this too seriously, just blowing off a little steam)

Gubna, lemon oil is your friend!

I must also admit defeat....according to PJ, the first run of 2a's were MIJ, just as Ray said. According to PJ, there are few of them and there is no way to tell them apart from the MIK's....and he states he tells people they are MIK just to make it easier to tell the story and avoid confusion. Semantics anyway if you ask me.

He also said the 2a is a korean copy of the haz circuit. From what I can remember, they sound a lot different.
