Yesterday I waited like a kid waiting for Christmas to call the GC store in Ft. Collins, Co. to buy a gorgeous NS-2A sunburst $272.00. They being 2 hrs behind us in Mi. I had to wait till noon EST. In the past I've tried calling before stores open but always had to wait for a salesman and had to call back. So @ noon I called and the salesman told me it just went out the door to a guy that called before they opened up and a salesman just happened to be in early! Arg!!!! I even had the idea @9 am to fill out one of GCs online purchase forms with hopes of being one step ahead! Nope! From now on...I'll call early!! /: oh well...Its not the last NS-2A in the world for sale...I've my eye on another...bright cherry red! Wish me good luck!
My NS-2JA-R, the '83 reissue, just arrived Friday. Very very happy with it thus far. Resonant, great sustain, perfect electronics, wonderful tone, fantastic build quality and player feel. Fulfills in every respect the dream I've had of playing one -- since I was 14, no less, more decades ago than I'd care to mention. It joins my Stick Enterprises SB8 and my BTB510.
Sorry, yes. Measured fingerboard to back, center between the frets. Where the white marks are on the diagrams. Thanks.
I haven't had any ReBops to measure as of yet. I will be able to catch these at NAMM. There are a few models I'm missing. Mainly the NS-6XL, Euro6LX, ReBop Models, Legend4 &5. I've been able to measure everything else.

Congrats! I also have an NS-2JA-R. Love it. Great bass... and a great value for a fully-carved NS-Body Spector with active EMGs and active EMG tone circuit.
It's a great bass. You're going to enjoy it.

It looks better cropped but I quite dig this photo with the light just hitting the Spector logo on the headstock. Sorry JP, forgot to bring my face to a gig again, it happens way too often.

Found an error, this one being a Not Found one for the link to see pictures of the original Rex Brown signature model and it's flame paintjob.
It looks better cropped but I quite dig this photo with the light just hitting the Spector logo on the headstock. Sorry JP, forgot to bring my face to a gig again, it happens way too often.

There are/were no new NS2A's at any Sam Ash web store.
Kind of a two way time line conflict in this statement.
What is the reason Spector doesn't install the PJ pickups on their 5 string models? Is it the string spacing is too wide? Looks like there'd be enough room to cover the strings.
