It seems to be working well for Sadowsky and might be a good synergy with your Spector website update work.

Guys can weight in here to offer up their opinions and test the water.

The Spector Club seems to be one of the more popular ones on TB.

Keep in mind that these club threads have no official standing here at TB. While it's polite to not try to take someone else's role if they are actively doing it, there's nothing stopping someone else from handing out more numbers if the thread originator isn't doing it.

True, but supposedly he was keeping the requests in the order they came in. It would be nice if he would just say "I haven't got the time. Here are all the requests" to someone who has offered to take over. Most, as requested, were by PM so no thread record exists. Plus, it would prevent any stepped on toes or hurt feelings.

I didn't want a number so I really have no horse here, FWIW.

Thanks... this is absolutely true. PJ's a great guy and I don't just say that because he's a client.

Actually... he's my client BECAUSE he's a great guy. I've been done with the corporate "you're just a number on a spreadsheet" mentality for years.

The guys at Spector really do care about their players. So hang in there guys. Some cool stuff is on the way.

That's me, in my basement in late 84, possibly 1985 (as if the clothing didn't give tat away) holding my fretless Spector NS-1.

I no longer have it. I do have first refusal rights from the guy who's owned it for the last 20+years if it ever goes back on the market (unlikely).
It's a great bass, maybe I can take a loaner on it again and make a few better photos.

Anybody suggest any strings that will FIT on this spector for C# Tuning (All strings down three notes)

I got some really heavy guage D'Addarios and they tapered before the nut.

ON a side note, here's a song im currently learning with my fresh spector

Hey everyone! Perhaps you can help me out.

I'm looking for photos of vintage Spectors being played or displayed for the new Spector website.

I'd need a good quality scan or photo. Concert or gig or studio photos are needed for Brooklyn and Kramer Spectors.

If you are interested in sharing, please email me the following:

  • Your name
  • the date of the photo (approx is OK... so long as the year is correct.
  • model(s) shown
  • the name of the band
  • location of the gig or studio
  • the name of the photographer (have to give photo credits)
  • Anything else you can think of that explains the photo.

PJ and I will review the photos and some will make it onto the site.

It's a chance for you to be an official part of the Spector history of players.

You can get the black bridge for the Euro here. As far as the tuning machines go you'd just have to track some black Schallers (or something with a similar footprint) down somewhere.

AFAIK the bridge size/mounting hole pattern didn't change between the NSCRFM's and the Euro's. Your best bet is to shoot PJ Rubal and email to get confirmation before you pull the trigger.

I agree with the price being off-putting but considering the proprietary design its not really surprising. Casting/machining to clean up the casting/plating is an expensive process. I've got one of the transition Euro's (not the LX) with the dull bridge. I thought about getting a new polished one to replace it until I saw the cost.
