Yep, this is the one that was on Ebay...Ive been waiting almost a year for someone to post one for sale, anywhere...I would have to say that the biggest difference is in the neck. These have a more Jazz bass profile and the neck is smaller than the Euros and the NS2A's, its a bit more like the ReBop necks..but even smaller than those..and of course its bolt-on as well. Its passive, but has an interesting tone of its own...to me, it has more mids than the active models (not at all "scooped")...and a bit less low end, and the highs are just perfect for me...no sizzle at all..and the bridge pickup is very sweet. On the one hand, it nails the classic Spector 80's sound better than my NS2A with EMG's, and it has that Eddie Jackson growl that I love. And on the other hand, it has a fantastic slap tone...very percussive, and great "snap". However, I use stainless steel rounds...so that is part of it too. I still have to use the active pad on my amps, so even though its passive, its still "hot", but I love to use it for recording, and can go straight into the board with it and it sounds very good. I could sell off all my other Spectors and keep these 2, and still be a happy fella...but that aint happenin'.
Oh...and they are very light too...I would say about 8 lbs.
