Spend My Money

Haha Id love to see his face if I gave him brushes to use as a solution, I dont think he would take it well I think he vents smashing his drums like the hulk. And you could fit a unbelieve amount of stuff in some late 90's JNCOs. Those pockets never end. I remember the daughter of my dads GF at the time walking around the house with a cat in one of those pockets.

I'm pretty sure you could smuggle people in those things.

Only one gripe about it. The CVT transmission. I can’t begin to tell you how annoying they are. Seems like you don’t have an accelerator pedal, it’s more like a pitch control. Here in flat Illinois it’s not so much of an issue. You get to any place with a lot of hills, like last weekend in Branson, MO. In the Ozark mountains, it’s an issue.

I’ve had it for 4 years now. Other than that transmission , I’ve been very happy with it.

For those CVT fans, I got better mileage out of my Passat TDI with a 5 speed manual.

Branson was great, saw some shows. A lot of tonic to the 5th bass progressions… but still very good.

Coming from an 800rb and various Peavey and Ampeg heads before, those didn't fit into my jnco jeans, so I was quite amazed to see how small the gk200 was.

I used to play a 215 peavey bw loaded cab and my daily driver back then was a second gen toyota echo hatchback. The cab would only fit on the back seat with the seat up (trying to lower the seat and go through the hatch didn't work) and getting it in there was a two person operation. I pretty much destroyed the passenger side rear door molded plastic cover by having the cab scrape against it over and over again.

Even though they didnt fit in those JNCO I bet they were close. I've been thinking maybe its possible that I could take off the arm rest and get the extra clearance. My dogs are the only ones that ride back there and even if I did have passengers one of them could deal with no arm rest or walk.

Yeah the CVT is annoying. First one I experienced was in a 2015 Corolla and my god the whine...

Also I'm guessing a significant portion of your mileage with the Passat is because it's diesel. Now imagine if it were both a diesel and a hybrid...

I was on my way to a gig a while back via train, and came to realize the Locomotive is nothing more than a very large hybrid. A Diesel engine powering a generator generating electricity for the electric motors that drive the wheels. The same concept can be used for cars eliminating the need for transmissions and batteries.

Yup. A shame that VW didn't do just that, in as much as they were selling both TDIs and hybrids at the same time, and just starting selling a full electric. Also there are diesel hybrid city buses.

...sorry for the thread derailment, OP.

Some cabinets are rated optimistically or use peak metrics while the amp uses rms metrics. This means the it’s possible (or even likely) that you are simply asking more of the cabinets than they are capable of.

Quick question ( that will probably require a long answer) are we talking the cab, the speakers in the cab, or the combination of both. In my case, just making an uneducated guess ( and feel free to correct me), its the porting limiting the extrusion of the speaker.
