The screws are all available, metric M3. You should be able to find some long enough at online hobby shops, radio control hobby uses lots of long metric bolts. I got some for my vmj that I put a black Wilkinson bridge on; the only.twist is they use Allen wrenches.

Thanks for the info; however, doesn't the VM series use standard, not HiMass, bridges?

I thought you meant Squier standard saddles. You had said "standard saddles.. on a HM CV bridge. If you mean Fender USA saddles they are size 4-40.

Sorry for the confusion; let me restate it:

The stock saddles on the Squier CV 60s P-Bass are very fat/wide, and I was wondering if one could replace them with standard-size saddles as are found on other Fender/Squier instruments.

It turns out the standard-size saddles don't fit; the stock intonation screws on my Squier don't fit inside the holes on them, and the standard-size screws aren't long enough for the saddle grooves.

I don't dare take a Dremel to these saddles; too hard to replace, I wager. Maybe a nut-slot file?

As y'all might (not) remember, I had already bought a SCPB-3 (Seymour Duncan's Quarter Pounder) for my CV50's Precision bass even before I got the actual bass and got to try it out. I really loved the way the stock pickup sounded, so I left the SCPB-3 in a drawer for almost half a year; however, two weeks ago I just decided to try it and if I didn't like it I'd swap back the stock pickup.
May I say that IMHO the PU-swap is actually worth it! I got better open strings, more lows and mids and the top end remained just as the stock pickup. It just has more presence now and my overdrive (Which is set up for my main, active Stingray bass) reacts much better with the hotter pickup It's not day and night, but the change is enough to be noticeable at first listen. As soon as I hit the E I knew this Quarter Pounder was fat... and I liked it.

Just wanted to throw my two cents regarding the Single Coil Quarter Pounder. I'm looking forward to see how much it changes in the studio

Theres nothing I can say that hasnt been said. The playability, tone, looks. And even though I had read so many glowing reviews I was still surprised. I can barely put it down.

Theres nothing I can say that hasnt been said. The playability, tone, looks. And even though I had read so many glowing reviews I was still surprised. I can barely put it down.

They were stock on the Daphne blue models

The blue ones come with the bridge cover but do not have brass saddles, the current red one does not come with the cover, but does have brass saddles.

Oddly enough, some three months ago, I found the exact model CV in Sonic Blue from GC Indianapolis.
