I only have Invalid Link Removed, but recorded a Demo with my band last Saturday using it :bassist: We'll go back to the studio for post-production, mixing, mastering, etc next week. I'll post a link to our songs as soon as we get'em :hyper:
Recorded two songs using both pickups and two more using each pickup alone. From what I could hear raw on the speakers they sounded really well in the mix! :smug:

I found this one: it's sonic, although described as "Daphne Blue". I did a print screen right off my browser for this below. $150 US is pretty good, don't know the condition given the poor-quality photo. I know that GC ships internationally; you may be able to get the ball rolling on this:

I was just getting on here to talk about my new bass-that one!

I needed a cheap bass. I am selling everything I own except 1 cheap bass and my Ric 4003 I got new during the crazy sale here. The reason for my big sale is graduating college and wanting to be mobile enough to move anywhere, thus all my gear is leaving except my 4003.

I figured a squier would serve as a good cheap bass. I wanted to stay around $200 and figured I would get a VM. Then I saw that one. With shipping I paid $174.85 total. Its going to have some old GHS flats I got for free put on and other then that it shall stay stock and more then likely once I get a new band going it will be my only gig bass as my ric is to pretty for gigs:)

FWIW, anyone looking for an CV Jazz can find one on GC; the prices vary but many to be had!

Just came back from our weekly local Farmer's Market (every Sunday morning). They always have live music. Today it was a quartet (guitar, drums, percussion, bass) and the bass player was rocking a CV Jazz through an Eden rig (410). Sounded great!!! I heard it from a distance first, thought the bass sound was good, then went to where they were playing to check them out. They were playing some instrumental jazzy type jams. Now I want one.

I bought a squire vintage vibe 50s pbass at GC for 125 bucks. It was light as a feather, which I like, and had a really loose old school sound, and wide string spacing. I replaced the tuners with fender ultralights, so it would balance better, and then after a couple gigs replaced the pickup with a Duncan quarter pounder. The stock pickup sounded great but was a little light on the low end-which I think is a common problem with really light basses. The 1/4 pounder has a little more booty.

Removed the pickguard and the tug bar. Very happy with this bass

Can I play?

Just picked up a 60's CV P-bass yesterday. I was walking by the local music store, walked in 'just to look around' like I always do, and found her hanging on the wall. Couldn't put her down, feels fairly light with a great, open, woody tone. The neck might be the most comfortable P neck I've ever tried, and the vintage frets make it super easy to play. Played it side-by-side with an American P, neither bass was 'better' I thought, just different. I already have two P's in my stable, I have no reason to own another, but this just felt so nice I had to own it.

Took is straight to band practice, played through my Fender 100t and Ampeg fridge, sounded and played great. Nice tone with both fingers and a pick. My bandmates all said they loved the sound of it. Then I took it home and played for another few hours, couldn't put it down.

I've been gassing for one of the new 63' AVRI P's, but after buying this I'm not so sure about picking one up. Music is a hobby for me, its a bit hard to justify that cost when this will get me most of the way there. Might swap out the pickup and the knobs, otherwise I think she stays stock. I also will be putting a set of Chromes on, I think this bass is screaming for flats.
