This is indeed great CS from the company! Now if only they could make their light scale Bass Boomers consistently; honestly, finding those strings right now in stock somewhere is bloody difficult. Maybe I'll have to just put a message to them, and see what they say.

And yes, the Pressurewounds are a great set of flats. Enjoy! The new PG on that bass is looking lovely, btw

I do think they are more than just "good quality". I had WAY terrible 2000+ US instruments compared to these.

The good news with the bridge that came on the Samick Indo CV 50's is that you can use the threaded saddles to align the strings wherever you want them, just the way they were many years ago.

On the paper, a threaded saddles bridge is better, but these just play suck. The height adjustement screws will wobble when you remove strings and lose the settings and the saddles themselves are never aligned. Also the threads are so tiny that the strings often SLIP.

The pine body is better than the basswood body if you like a harder wood that holds screws and does not dent as easily, and has better looking grain than basswood.

Only 50s model had pine wood on both 1st and 2nd gen so it's a draw here.

Well I have 3 CV necks + my Matt Freeman neck: 60s P 60s J and 70s P ; these 3 all have narrow short frets; but the Matt Freeman neck is more like medium short? They are wider on the base but as tall as the other. In all cases, I love these frets! You don't feel them under the finger

I like my Samick made Indo CV50's P from 2019...I like it a lot.
My comments about the quality question is in response to the massive over the top claims that were being made by a couple of posters here.
I definitely prefer my Squier CV50's P neck over the Players Series Mexican made P or J Bass necks.
I am not a fan of how tiny the threads are on these saddles either, but I am a fan of the original vintage threaded saddle Fender bridges.
I will be buying one of those soon, or I might put on the Fender American Deluxe Bass Bridge which has multiple grooves to adjust string position.
I'm not sure any of the CIC CV 50's P basses had pine bodies, the blonde CIC I had for a few days was too soft, many screws were stripped out when I got it.
The Samick Indo CV 50's P grain looks great (I think a two piece body) and the pine they chose is hard enough to hold screws properly.

I wouldn't doubt it. I can't wait. I picked up a matching CV '60s Strat from ProAudioStar that's on its way. It's a blue revival here. Going to get updated pickguards for both, just not sure which one yet. Probably generic ol' white pearloid (my wife's favorite) but black pearloid might be cool too.
