Same here. I have 3 Squier's now, a 60's CV sunburst, a Matt Freeman in black, and a Mike Dirnt white/tort 50's ish. Along with 10 other various brand/vintage basses. I honestly don't need another one...
...but I love that color and the white pearloid pickguard. Exactly what I'd go for...
Been wanting one of these in white for my Beach Boys tribute band. Must resist, must resist, must... You guys are killing me.

I agree with you Lobster ! They are my number one flats . They have sounded fantastic on any precision style bass I have installed them on . Just that sweet deep Labella deliciousness ! Now to leave these bad boys on this bass for a looooong time .
I don't need another bass, but those Squier CV Late 60's Jazz Basses are a screaming deal for $239.
A Poplar body (typically weighs just slightly more than alder) that will make a bass that does not neck dive, and a beautiful blue paint job.
Bound and pearloid blocked neck with a Rosewood-ish looking Indian Laurel fretboard....really nice!
The better sounding (IMO) 60's position for the bridge pickup.
Vintage threaded saddles on a simple bridge that has mounting screws in the standard Fender spots.
Three ply parchment pickguard, looks better than white with that blue body.
A bone nut.
I think they did a really nice job spec'ing these basses.

For anyone else that bought the late 60s jazz bass over the weekend for the Labor Day sale… Is anyone else’s order still showing as “pending“? I paid with PayPal and my status is still pending. The notes say that they are waiting for Fender to finish processing the order. Now I’m curious as to whether or not I’m going to actually get the bass.
when i ordered from fender a few weeks ago they eventually had to call me by phone a couple days later to verify my purchase/identity before they would manually process the order. i think it's some sort of thing they do for first time customers. i saw others had to do the same. you could probably try calling them to speed it up if you don't want to wait.
I ordered Friday, Sept 2nd and cancelled same day over the phone. Whom ever I spoke to confirmed he canceled my order.
Today I get a fedex notification it’s on a truck. I’m immobile with a neck injury and my injury is not an easy fix. It will be very tough for me to get this bass off my front porch let alone return it.

Just bought my first new bass in 27 years. Indo CV 50's two-tone Sunburst from Sweetwater.
Just wanted that single-pup sound. It hasn't shipped yet but is scheduled to this week.
Really like that Pearloid PG @timendous. Knobs look great too.

I have one of these and love it, it wears a black pickguard.
Just had an unexpected experience with it though.
I bought a set of GHS Nylon Tapewounds for it and the threaded vintage saddle cut through the nylon and wrecked the string in a week (the nylon unraveled).
Good news is that GHS is sending me a set of Pressurewounds (which I like and have on another bass currently) to replace the nylons.
I am a fan of simple light vintage bridges but careful with tapewounds rubbing the threads on the all-thread saddles.
