Well it's a good donor bass for now as the neck has a savage bow making it unplayable after a maximum of about 2 minutes of playing with the action so high that it would've made Jamerson gasp.

If I own that neck issue bb300 and wanna make it in great playable condition , I will think about the current BB234 neck for it since both has same 22fret neck configuration and same truss rod adjustment on neck heel.
Does Yamaha offer replacement necks? I didn't think they did. That's great to know.

I really love that pickup with roundwound strings, in a way you hear ‘more’ than you do in a CS ‘62 or Quarter Pounder which are a tad scopped.

No link and no replacement neck from Yamaha, since the bb234 are low in price, it is worth to get one new . Put the neck on bb300 and make it sing again.
That's a pretty good idea. Unless they make a lefty model, the neck will be upside down but that's still much much better than a non-playing wallhanger any day of the week.
Early lefty Gibson's & Rickenbacker's did the same for years. I liked it's lean (in a really GOOD way, no mud) sound with that reverse P too. Lefty reverse P styles also seem to be rather scarce. Hence the purchase.
Here is my 2010 Squier Classic Vibe Precision Bass 60s RW Fiesta Red, China Made. I completely equipped the bass with original Fender hardware, 8,15 lbs. Not a custom shop but customized with Fender USA OEM stuff.

Cool, mine is currently sporting a Badass Bridge but the Fender Bridge would be a great option as well.
I purchased one of each last year, and there are a couple differences. Body and fretboard woods are different. I've heard others say that the neck profile is identical between them, but my 70s feels thinner front to back. It might be an optical illusion due to the binding, but it feels like a different profile, IMHO. My 70s was built in Indonesia, the 60s in China. Both are 2022 models. My 70s is definitely lighter. The pickup poles on my 60s look to be protruding, where the 70s pole pieces are flush with the cover. Aesthetics aside, they sound nearly identical to my ears. Both set up nicely and the fretwork is equal as well. Slightly different bridge as well. That's about all I can think of. They both surprised me and exceeded my expectations overall.

Hi, the bridge does not fit 100 percent. The outer drill holes are not quite congruent with the holes in the bridge. with a little sensitivity, however, it can be screwed on.
