I have a idea share on pickguard design with Anodized Pickguard Custom Store lately.
The seller provide great service and know-how what i request/suggestion until fine piece of final product.
Here is my idea after inspire by Fender Troy Sander sig pbass. And i ask seller make one for me but reverse P pickup hole for my PJ bass BEAD project.

Hey all. I'm relatively new here and know that many are very pro early CV made in the Grand Reward China factory. My only experience so far has been with new China and Indonesian CV basses so I have no first hand experience in the differences. I'm in the market for a strat and was wondering if anyone knows if there are similar differences to be found in the CV guitars. Any input would be much appreciated.
If i still wanna spend money on Squier bass, i will go with 40th AV series rather than current Indo CV line. Except Cv50P (from Samik factory ) .... .
Current indo CV line just a rebranded Vintage modified to me. Especially the Cortex made one.
I have positive experience on both 40th AV Vintage P and J , both QC quite close to discontinued CIC CV line.
I have zero opinion on 40th AV Strat. Hopefully someone can help.

Suddenly recall the story on my buddy Tele guitar purchase.
He is long term Gibson player, after he watch this..... he want a tele guitar.
Since he dint consider spend much on tele guitar, so i suggest him try both indo CV tele and 40th AV Vintage tele.
But the end, he check out with Fender Player Plus Nashville Tele. What he dint like about both Squier Tele are neck profile feel , weight (few of he try are heavy to him) , fretboard edge , fretboard radius (His gibson has 12' and nashville tele has 12' ) and noiseless electronic with vary tone on one tele guitar.
On me, my hibrid CIC Matt freeman PJ bass just play as wonderful like Vintera 50sP i own. Yah, all my previous CIC Cv50P/60P/60J not exceptional.
Hello, I play more and more my fiesta red CV60, which is perfect, but on the heavy side of perfect (so am I

If I read correctly the lighter vintage style bridges would not align perfectly with the holes of the original high mass bridge ?
I wonder how much weight it could lose with a lighter bridge (-150g ?) (and mechanics ?) BUT I want everything to be reversible to come back to original specs if I want.
Did some of you do this ? Happily ? How ?

All my previous CIC CV has swap with Fender Vintage style bridge. Yes, you need plug 4 holes others than center, then redrill new holes for fender bridge.
I recall this full brass hi mass bridge weight around 168+ grams. Vintage bridge save around 100g.
Happy with the result meanwhile i able align my favor string spacing and install Fender chrome bridge cover.
Also install a Gotoh GBR640 to reduce bass weight ,.... but , not too much.
stock tuning key = 77g vs Gotoh = 60g
Only save 64g. But Gotoh save lot on my Vintera 50sP , around 160g.
With the sale going on of these 40th anniversary at Guitar Center for $300, it makes me want to buy all of the ones I like. Including the tele

If you only use roundwound bass string, keep using stock himass bridge .
Update… swapped out the stock high mass for a Fender vintage style bent plate bridge, and also found a new tort guard in a parts bin. This bass is now officially a partscaster because it's wearing a Fender Highway One neck from 2003. Only thing stock at this point is the red basswood body. The stock neck is honestly just as well made though and plays just as nice. I may defret it and build a fretless parts bass. It's a way too nice of a neck to try and sell to low-ballers that are scared of the Squier decal, and I don't currently own a fretless.
For the love of the Bass Gods ... Don't defret a CV60 rosewood neck. Please.
@Texican; He has a very good point. They simply do not make them like that anymore. You could get a fretless Precision neck directly from Mighty Mite for less than $200. Hell, you might even be able to move the tuners over to the Mite so you still have all the original parts.
Ultimately, though, it's your stuff, so do as you will.
