Loved your comment. And happy about your bass! But though it was available earlier today, others took advantage of the sale before myself-and I doubt the model will come back. Will have to find solace in the basses I already have-which admittedly, make me quite happy-and that I didn't spend even more on extra upgrades.

Not even the Vintage 40th Anniversary Squier Ps are now available. Totally missed on both.

Nice find with yours! Absolutely love the looks.

That was the issue. The ground wire was actually in a small recess in the underside of the Hipshot bridge. I used a small bit of tape to attach the wire to a flat section of the bridge, and now it's dead quiet again. Thanks for the tip.

Picked this one up from Fender's Black Friday sale. I don't know if it was priced so low exclusively for play members, but the discount on this was too good to ignore. The color and the gold anodized guard really grabbed me, but what I love most is the neck. As a long time jazz bass exclusive player, I've never gotten along with traditional p-bass necks. This bass has a hybrid shape between a P and a J that just fits my hand so nicely. I've done some research on these after the fact and it looks like I lucked out with the wood grain showing through the finish, and the neck tint is more golden than orangey. Also, very surprised at how good the stock pickup sounds, and how "noiseless" the bass is. I feel like I really got a steal here, other than the fact that the headstock says Squier. But you know what? This bass is so fricken cool, I'm almost proud it is a Squier!

I envy you. My faded sonic blue nitro P as my daphne blue Jazz, both from the > 2.000,- US vintage series, show no sign of getting greenish. Argh!

This nice color shift recall me the discontinued Fender Japan Seafoam green traditional 70s P bass.
