Tell me one thing guys, I see that some of the Classic Vibe 60's P-basses comes with bridge cover and tug bar and some without one, or those two things, Why is this happening?

Those covers are after market items put on there by the owner. The tug bar is stock on those basses, but some people remove them.
Not sure about that. I believe the bridge cover came stock on the sonic blue version. That color is now discontinued.

I'm also wondering why Squier didn't provide 2-TS or 3-TS to the 60's Classic Vibe since that sunburst color was popular in the 60's.
Tell me one more thing, which will be better, Squier CV 60's P-bass or MIJ Fender P-bass from the 80's? I mostly want to know differences between pups. It may be worng comparison but, the prices are not so divergent.

I'm just guessing, but Squier probably figured they already had two types of sunburst basses (Affinity and Vintage Modified) and wanted the CV's to stand out from the rest.

Has anyone tried a hum canceling pup such as Lindy Fralins or David Allan's?
Does shielding the cavities do much to calm any hum issues?

That's right, at least for the earlier sonic blue model, the cover was standard. High quality heavy gauge steel too.
It just looks seafoam in the pics, but it is sonic blue. I like both colors, almost went for a Hoppus once.
My 60s P is sonic blue and is a early one from 2008 , first year of production. It had the cover stock. It was on guitar centers used site fro $149.99 plus s/h which was $24. It had small dings in it. It came with the bridge cover but I sold it to a friend as they get in my way of palm muting.
Mine is all stock except the electronics and guard. Those parts come and go out of the bass, its more of a test bed then anything. The main parts, body, bridge, neckplate, tuners are stock but as of today I have had 3 different guards on it and 2 different sets of pickups beyond what was stock.
It had a aged pearl guard and red pearl, both I had laying around and sold. I still have the original white guard and tug bar because it looked better then those 2 previous guards.
Next guard gold anodized!

I've played P basses since the mid-60's (and bought and sold my fair share) but never owned an 80's MIJ P so any comment regard those specific models would be meaningless.
P basses I currently own are 03 MIJ 51ri, an 06 MIM and 08 Squire CV-60 P-bass. The 51r1 is a great bass in every way but it is a very different animal compared to the other 2 "standard" P basses.
Comparing the MIM and Squire, I would say without question the Squier CV 60 is the better over all bass(even after replacing the pickup and wiring in the MIM bass) IME out of the box the CV-60 Squier has better fit and finish and far better stock pickup and bridge than the stock 06 MIM. The other members of the blues band I was in when I first purchased the Squire preferred the Squire's sound and look hands down over the MIM. At this point in time I prefer the feel of the Squier just a little over the MIM. Currently the main difference between the 2 is flats on the MIM, rounds on the CV60.
06 MIM P bass: replacement Fender 60's pick guard, [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] pickup, all new pots and wiring and Fender pickup cover.
Totally stock Squier CV60 bass (since this photo was taken I've changed the pick guard to an antique white pearl).
Bottom line, If I could only own one of these and was buying today, it would be the Squier without question. It is the best bang for the buck ever. Hope this helps some and as always YMMV.

I'm really want to buy the Squier Matt Freeman Signature P-bass, For me one of the best color (Vintage White) combo with pickguard and that maple freatborad! Also the black one is really nice, especially for Pink Floyd fans. I got that pleasure to play one and love the tone of it!

I thought my gas was cured with the orange fretless p... but no! I gotta get me a sonic P... mint guard and covers! Argh!!
The sonic blue is a headturner (well, for me atleast!). But I always thought a p in the right shade of orange would be cool, post up a pic. There's a Jeep Wrangler that is the exact shade I want for a orange bass.

Just acquired a LPB 50's CV.
Since I'm the curious sort, wax potted the pup though for no other reason than to try the process. lol. I noticed there's shielding paint in both the pup cavity and the control cavity but no connecting link. So, I ran a wire with the pup wires and ran a screw through a terminal into the sides. Not sure it helped much but I'm more a fan of copper shield than the paint.
I poured through many searches trying to find split coil pickups. So far I've found
Lindy Fralin $140,
Nordstrand $115,
Curtis Novak $145
Are there any others?

So my 60s CV Precision is gone now. I'm a little sad but its hard to pass up when someone offers you an MIJ Geddy Lee signature jazz as a straight up trade.
Seriously? I would have traded it to , sold the geddy and used the money to buy 2 CV's a fiesta and a sonic
