OK, what's up with Squier's hex key for the trussrod(s)? My CV 50s P takes a 4mm and I'm not even sure what size the one that fits my CV 70S P is... but it's a larger hex key than the one that fits my 50s P.
Unless you bought the bass new it could be a couple different sizes meaning people chang 'em when they get buggered up... When I replace them I stopped sweating what size the hex/allen key was as long as the size/thread pitch was correct.

I believe on most Affinity, Vintage Modified, Classic Vibe 50's-60's-70's and VM's they are going to be 4mm, some are 5mm, my CIC CV's are 5mm anyway I have a bunch of basses so I have a box of wrenchs, but I have 3 readily available 4mm, 5mm and 3/16" (Fender). Try a 5mm on the 70's.
