sweet!...the burst is nice looking...

I really wanted a white one, but the Youngstown GC only had black and besides, the setup was pretty good on it.

But, I can't get the action quite where I want it while I am here in the states @ my folks' house. when I get it back to Australia, it will get my "loving touch" (trussy, intonation, action).

my bass has arrived and i have to say im stunned i love everything about it ive played four strings all my life and am starting to adjust but im starting to look for a preamp like this to put in my MIM fender if any1 knos where to find one let me kno

Mine had some electronic troubles, the battery was draining after five mins, when it reached half empty, Fender took it and replacd all the electrics/pickups, and sent it back to me, so that was cool!

Its perfect now! :)

I am ready to order my second. Just to have one with flats on it. I really dig these basses. I just hope that my first wasn't one of a kind. No mods as the first had more then enough versatility for my liking. I will play this one also proudly with the Squire logo.

I tweaked mine a bit last night (still in America, not back in Aus, yet)

after a trussrod adjustment (borrowed my dad's tools) and a bit of action adjustment it plays pretty darn sweet now...

action on the B at the 12th fret comes in at 2mm (just under 0.08" in my brother's calipers)...pretty DARN good for a $300 bass and 15 mins of tweaking...

like IotaNet said in his original post...the fretwork is GREAT!

Oh its a Big 'un!...My misgivings were in this area, too...let me assure you...you can...I'm 5'8" and my hands are not large, but I've come to love the feel of this neck in just a few short weeks...

Well I gave this one more of a spin this weekend. My opinion?

Underwhelmed.

I'm sure there are better examples out there, but the first thing I noticed on plugging it in was noisy pots and lots of hiss when the high boost on the pre was used. I also wasn't into the sound of the B string, especially when dropped to my favored drop A tuning. Better strings and a setup could probably help out a lot, but the sound wasn't any better (perhaps not even as good) than one of my four bangers detuned with .105 strings.

The good thing was that the wide neck, my initial turn-off, became less of an issue the longer I played. I could probably get used to it pretty easy with time.
