Squier/Doom Bassquiers 49: Squiers The Beef?

Hey Nick, I know you're not the biggest fan of current production Orange products, but I'm getting antsy and they aren't responding to my emails.

Would it be possible to mod one of their Terror Bass heads with a voltage switch so I could run it at the stock 110v and then switch it for 240v and use it overseas?

I ask you since you've got all the technical mega answers. Would this be something a competent tech should be albe to do for me, or am I just making things up again.

if the PT support 240V taps then yes you could do this. If not then you would need to buy a 240-120V transformer to run outside of the amp to convert it for you. Any competent tech can install a switch for this 2

Awesome, the chasis has a box for whether the amp is wired to 110 or 240 on it, so if I was purely guessing the PT should be able to do either. I'll talk to a local SS tech I know and see if they can figure out how to do it on the cheap....

Generally there is a switch on the back for this kind of stuff or possibly an internal switch so that users cant accidentally switch it. If there is no switch, any nice DPDT or SPDT switch could be used

Man Oh my shvt, I was curious to see if I should even bother trying to list my 410 cab with shipping, man oh man $240 was UPS quote and I go there all the time. Ouch. Hopefully I can craigslist though if it stays it stays. Just that quote blew my freakin mind... Wish in one hand, Squier in the other

Random thought... they have tube amps, solid state, modeling etc... why hasn't anyone made a system similar to how tube valves work but made with lighter materials and able to achieve higher watts for the space used? Let's get some egg heads and scientists working on that one.

The thread is hauling squirass today.

I've heard the joyo vintage chorus is a boss CE2 clone. I effn love my CE2.

Trade is done. Now I can run a 810 and 215 together. My guitarist is wary.
