I just checked the prices of some $349 CV basses at Sweetwater (CV 60's Jazz and CV 70's P) and they are priced at $799 and $999 respectively so i'm expecting the Mustang to be somewhere in between those figures. It's interesting that two basses of the same price over there are so different here.
It'd want to be good for me to buy one at that price.... and unfortunately (for me) the colours don't do it for me either..... oh well.

I know this is a Jaguar thread but the SS Jag sounds like an average PJ bass IMO. A Mustang definitely has its own sound going on. You should play one first or at least listen to lots of demos.
