Squier Jaguar Short Scale Club Part 3

Welcome oomaldi! "twneagle" on eBay offers pickguards for the bass in several colors. They are a little expensive, but the 4-ply tort I bought from him fit perfectly.

Hi oomaldi....

I agree with macmanlou about the pickguards from "twneagle" on eBay.....

A little pricey but very good....

Welcome to TalkBass

Thank you so much @macmanlou @Fat Freddy @johnclink for your warm welcome and also informations.

I already find out the same ebay seller for around 2 months. But it cost around $70 with the shipping to Indonesia, exclude Indonesian tax. Too bad :(

That's why I'm looking for the pickguard's template so I can send it to the trusted local luthier. I already told him that I will send him my original pickguard to make his work easier. But, he ask me to just send the template by email, because we lived in different town and looks like he don't want to take any risk if there's something terrible happened to my original pickguard on the way to his address. It make sense but still confusing, right?

I've finally finished modifying my little Jag, and i.m.h.o. it's been worth the journey. Just to prove my insanity though, as if anyone needed further proof, I bought this guitar new for £210.00 and I've just spent £290.00 on modding it.

I'm in!

I was picking up a repair on my way to a gig, spotted an amp sort of similar to one I had been GASsing for, so grabbed a P/J bass randomly of the rack to test the amp, did not notice right away that it was short scale. Did not like the amp, but the bass really turned my head. Really impressed by the weight of it, and the neck feel. When he told me the price, I asked him to put flats on it, and set it up for me.

I already put a firmer Gotoh bridge on it, and shielded the cavities as best I can. First stab at installing foil shielding.

It's a little prone to neck dive, might try Hipshot light tuners.

The bridge on mine is a Gotoh too, pickups are Seymour Duncan SPB-2 & SJB-2. If I remember rightly the sunbursts were only issued as a part of a pack, with a little 15W Fender rumble, soft case, lead, picks, etc. Brilliant little things aren't they? :D

Yes, sunburst was with the kit display. I got the bass, and the bag. Didn't need the amp and accessories. Benefits of a local independent retailer.

BTW, the solid black display model was quite a bit heavier!?!? Apparently there is a good deal of weight variation.

BTW2: Same Gotoh bridge.

Hey guys, newbie member here. Just got my first bass for Christmas, though I have played guitar for years. And that makes me a member of this Squier Short Scale club. Cheers all!
Hi, I'm new here and I'm goig to buy the same bass as you have in the picture (i've been playing guitar for years) does the body feels not proportioned with the neck, I've been searching for a picture of someone playing with it with the sortest strap arrangement to se how it really looks for years.
Thank you

Did it come with that neck? That is exactly what I am looking for except color but it's not that important!
