Squier Mikey Way Signature Mustang

Being distracted by work, I also thought this said, “Milky Way”, and didn’t understand how the galaxy got a Sig bass. But I’m Gas’n big time for a Mustang, and don’t like the VM’s neck or color selection much. So, I figure that this was the answer to my Gas. However, I’m not a Sig bass kind of guy, and I have no idea who Mikey is, but this bass may still be in my future, because of the price. I just can’t get to paying $1500 for the MIJ COMPETITION SERIES pony that I really want.

BTW, is silver the only color? That sucks, even though the pic actually looks pretty good.

I am not a fan of the Mustang basses, however it looks kinda cool to say the least. I am not going to rip on Mikey or MCR because I dug some of MCR's early stuff, but not so much their newer stuff. Change happens I guess.

If you look at most Squier sig models they are made around bands that are for the "younger" crowd and bands that tailor to them. Makes the kiddies want to go buy the guitar/bass from their favorite rock star lol. Not all of course, but most models.

That being said, I will say it again, this actually looks cool and the humbucker might make it a usable bass and clear up the mud.

Love the finish, not crazy about it being a Mustang, although to be fair, I've never really played one, so they might rock my world. If my GC gets one in, I'll give it a go. I do wish more companies would release sparkle instruments... been dying for one for a couple years now, but don't want to spend the money to have a bass refin'd.
