Squier Mikey Way Signature Mustang

remember when signature instruments had more to do with new and unique contributions to the world of music (or the instrument) rather than just being a popularity contest? but gee, at least its sparkley. oh.... and a racing stripe.
though not my cup of tea especially the finish., i'm curious on what's under that pickup, and how does it sound.

I'm not a fan of him as a bassist and I"m not a fan of MCR really. Does he deserve a sig bass? I wouldn't think so. But, I will say that I dig the look of that bass. I'm not crazy about Sparkle finishes, but overall it's not bad.
no hate comments, wither you think he deserves a signature bass or not is relative.

Looks cool, though I'd prefer a regular split-P pickup. Nice to see a Mustang in the Squier line. Or did they already have one? I'd try one of these for sure.
there is a VM Squier Mustang they have had for awhile. this is a little different for their regular signature line.
He has done well for himself as a bass player who never touch a bass till after high school
MCR practiced two houses down from mine before they took off. Does he deserve a Sig maybe not but I give him props for still being able to keep up with the band and writing bass lines that fit his brothers writing style. MCR has a strong following and I'm sure Squier will make $ off of Mike's bass RTS

I'd rock it.
I dig MCR (one of my daughter's favorite bands), and I dig Mustangs, especially one's with racing stripes.

Is the stripe removable? Squier has a propensity to put bats and skulls under the clear coat - maybe they'd make it optional this time?

Hate the band. Want the bass. I actually like the fact that humbucker might clean up the muddy Mustang sound.
The only item here that I find interesting is the rosewood board. People who wanted one for the maple/maple neck on the VM Mustang can now do a swap.
They're getting close - Mustang is next on my aquisition list, but I want the black Squier VM body with the humbuckers and the Mikey Way neck and headstock.
