Squier Owners Club

Could I get a number, please? :cool:

The middle one is my Squier. I've had many many Squiers over the years, my first guitar is a Squier and I still have it to this day. It's the best Strat I've ever played and my Squier Vintage Modified P 5 is one of the best basses and the best P bass I've ever played.

I don't know if it's because the instruments are made more like vintage Fenders where the woods are probably just what's easily on hand and there's a lot of flawed bits. Whatever it is I find more times then not Squiers (and the other brands that come out of those factories, like my other 5ers) just have so much more mojo then their more expensive counterparts.

I love a good Squier. With the exception of a few models (such as the Bronco and to some extent the Affinity) I don't think of them as "cheap instruments" at all. More like "a Fender built in a different country". Some of my best Fenders are Squiers.

Sure, Fender deliberately use cheaper parts in Squiers but they do the same in MIMs. The actual build quality/craftsmanship/QC on most Squiers is no worse than a typical MIA Fender in my experience. Which means that the stuff that MATTERS is usually very good on Squiers. And the rest can easily be upgraded to personal taste/budget.

But of course, I've owned (and sold) some pretty awful Squiers too. They're just like Fenders in that regard... they even nailed the poor QC, lol.

broncos are sort of a luck of the draw bass. my first one wasn't inspiring - poorly intonated, neck not well finished. unlike it, my more recent one is perfectly intonated, smooth neck, comfortable to play.

btw, the parts in and finish on my husband's CV jazz are nicer than in my MiM fender mustang.

Broncos are great for modifications!
Mine's been through quite some mods :)

Beautiful Bass and great Neck. I have 5 string version.
Solo tones maybe aren't great but it cuts the mix like a Katana.

Off to return this beauty to my local GC - Nothing wrong at all and I even got the action right so it plays great - Just too many and just want to return it b4 the 180day return policy - It's a great super clean bass just like new
