Where can you buy that Cort set of Jazz Bass pickups? I can't seem to find them anywhere. They don't even show up on Cort's website.

My only experience with Duncan Designed pickups are a Pete Wentz Squier P that I got used around 2013. It had the Duncan Designed version of the 1/4# P pickup in it. I originally planned to swap out the pickup, but before I ever got to it, I used the bass at a gig... and when I dug in, the bass snarled at me! Woa! That gave me a very satisfying jolt. So I decided to leave that pickup right where it was. Can't speak for all Duncan Designed pickups or anyone else's experience with them, but I had a very positive experience with the one I've got.
Good to know. I'm thinking about getting one of these basses if I can find one under (or at least close to) 8 pounds. I have spare J pickups, so that's an easy swap.
I'm not much of a guitar player--those Itty bitty strings hurt my fingers
But I have a Hamer Archtop, which is kinda like Hamer's Les Paul. It has a pair of Duncan Designed humbuckers on it, and they're the best guitar humbuckers I've ever heard.
Email Cort and purchase directly from them on year 2019.
Cort change this pickups to ceramic but still using same name on GB64. No longer use on GB74 after production batch 2020. But still as stock pup on NJS jbass.

The set i own have problem on VTB-ST bridge pickups a month ago, she suddently became low output. While 50/50 blend she no longer provide scoop sound like Jazz bass anymore. Now she sound like crazy underwound bridge pickups but not blend with neck pickups when both volume knob in full..
So, i increase the neck pickups height to get stronger signal like P bass before the tone start sound chorus effect, then use the bridge pickups volume knob as TONE knob. Work pretty alike PJ bass now without thin sounding DG string .

Did you go to your local store or try online. You can order online, free shipping and if there is a problem, you can return it at your local store. I did find the Cali Blue is out of stock, they still have black, Sunburst and Surf Green online.
Sweetwater has the black and the 2-tone sunburst in stock, but they're out of the California blue. (And exactly what is "California blue?" Sounds like I should write a song about being California blue.) $220 each on Sweetwater. I don't know if that's a good price or not. I haven't been following that. There are some new and used ones on Reverb, including California blue.

First off, the 200 grams I weighed mine at, including it's five screws, was no hallucination, no hologram and certainly wasn't the product of a diseased mind. It's a hunk of metal, fashioned into the shape of a bass bridge that happens to have much more mass than approximate 85 grams of a bent-plate bridge. I'm no scientist, but that sounds like some very real and tangible additional mass, to me. (re: not very fake)
Secondly, yes, there is a join between the block and the plate. But, do you know what all bridges have? Joins between strings and saddles...then more joins between saddles and screws...then yet more joins between screws, the plate and the block...and then there's a really big, honking join between the bridge and the body beneath it, no less! Joins everywhere! And then there are these Fender American Standard/Professional bridges!
Oh, my goodness gracious me! Is that a join between the block and plate I see?! Quickly...someone give me some pearls to clutch!

Funny that I don't hear an overwhelming litany of MIA Fender owners howling from the rooftops about their "fake himass bridges", especially in the Fender Jazz Bass Club that I frequent. Are some that make that case? Perhaps there are, but if so, it rarely comes up.
Big picture; It's okay to not like "things", but there are better ways to make one's point than by picking a fight. If your intent was to discuss and disagree, I can respect that. We all have our opinions, tastes, likes and dislikes. That's perfectly cool. But, "cordiality" goes a long way and I, for one, will respond with all the grace, kindness...and occasional humor

I dint know 2012 Fender Am bass bridge has this join-type himass bridge, most himass bridge i been use are one piece. That bridge you shown on previous post are the same bridge i bought from Aliexpress. Shocking me that metal join on bridge plate are truly annoying.
Maybe FMIC has serious reason to create the 2012 Am std himass bridge with metal piece and bridge plate join.

Yep, the Cali Blue seems to be the hot ticket. No in-store stock. One thing I like about GC is that I can talk to someone directly if something goes wrong. I just want to know if the wait is going to be days, weeks, months……
I did find (at this time) on Reverb, nine in the Continental US in California Blue. Three with free Shipping and six with 14 day returns.
I did see those. Still an option, but I like the idea of dealing face to face if there are any issues. Kinda wish the blue was a shade darker. Maybe a bit too Fisher Price?
I can't blame you at all for wanting to deal face-to-face with a person and also for wanting to hold the instrument in your hand and check its suitability for you. That's a good policy. And since here at the Squier Owners' Club we're dealing with cheap mass-produced instruments where keeping manufacturing costs down is the main priority, we're likely to find more defects and weaknesses in an instrument than if we're buying a $3,000+ instrument. I live in the boondocks--60 miles from the closest music store (a small independent) and 120 miles from the nearest Guitar Center (and some other larger music stores). That makes buying online more appealing for me, but I always try to buy an instrument from someone who (1) is highly rated as a seller, and also (2) has a good return policy. I can't always guarantee that those two things will align themselves, but I've been fortunate to have only bought two clunkers in the last six years, and I've bought a lot of basses (and a guitar or two) in that time. Of those two clunkers, I fixed them both up, sold one, and still have the other.
So I called GC and no blue ones until July. They offered a discount on a black one with some strings thrown in as well. Hmmmm.
That does look sweet! Im thinking the right tort or three ply black.
How do you like it so far? The 1.5” width is the attraction for me.
I have a pair of very different Squier Jazz Basses, but both have the 1.5" nut width. They're a dream to play--effortless.
I love it. Let me say that I have '99 Am Std P and '89 MIJ VRI Jazz (both great basses), and I reach for this humble Squier most often. I upgraded the pickup and the rest of the electronics, shielded the cavity and levelled and recrowned the frets. Plays and sounds nice.
