Squier Squire 6 string Affinity Jazz!

I don't get why they didn't just do that anyway, they never really put any effort into giving good colour options for squiers even when they sell well. The CV 5 only really had the two colour widely available, the affinity had the sunburst and white, only the recent HH had a few options and even they seemed to be limited to regions or certain distributors.
That's not a problem with the sires, even their basic sunburst is nice to look at across the board.

Sounds good enough to my ears, he's also got a video doing a bit of slap on it, not that that's anything I'd try but good to know it sounds good on it
Shame that Sam Ash closed since they were the only store that actually kept a decent stock of basses to try out, fingers crossed guitar center puts one on the shelf

No, unfortunately, I wish I could play like that, I'm a complete beginner. I'm a bass-OBSESSED drummer, I'm only just starting out.
Just got one of these. Much better than it should be. Seriously. Perfect setup. No fret issues.
Got mine yesterday with the parts 6 fretless I made while I waited for the Squier.
I think this is a great thing, because like the CV Jazz five-string, this will be an inexpensive way in for guys who'd like to give a five or six a try without spending big money to stick their toes in the water.
. . . and the kids just LOVE those Fender Shaped Objects. And the genius who used the trapeze string stay on the six instead of all those usual plumbing bits on Fender headstocks needs to be promoted immediately.

I very nearly bought one yesterday but managed to resist, almost definitely getting one next month or in December but we'll see
Super cool! I was wondering how easy it would be to find a fretless neck for these since I think it would be a great combo though considering how cheap they are it may cost close to the same to just get a second one and defret it

Got mine today. Overall, it's definitely a winner. I'd say the fit and finish is punching way above its weight. Tuners feel good. No sharp frets. Neck is smooth and fast, and doesn't feel overly big. I'll change the bridge because I can't get used to the offset design. Pickups are noisy, but they sound great. I shielded the bass within an hour of ownership and it does help, but the pickups still just pick up noise until you touch the strings.

I am pretty satisfied by this bass. I just gigged it and thought it played fairly smooth. Im curious what bridge would you use instead of the stock?
when did you order yours? i pre-ordered three weeks ago and haven't seen any shipping info yet.
I'm a sucker for the Hipshot A-Style. I am going with 18mm spacing because I feel the board is just wide enough to get that extra mm out of the spacing string to string.
