Squier Squire 6 string Affinity Jazz!

1) I stand corrected
2) That makes it even more enticing because I don’t like active electronics
3) There are very few passive 6 string basses out there, so this is a huge deal
Can’t wait for the sound samples, I’ll probably get the 5, or wait for more colour options. If the preamp is nice I’ll keep it passive, if not I have an audere

Sorry guys not very active on here. Here is a picture I took as I bought it.

I'll take some more pictures and weigh it when I get home tonight!

As far as sound it just sounds like a jazz bass to me but I've been running it through my practice amp.

It looks better in pictures than it does on the websites but I do wish they'd give us more color options, it'd be nice to have 6 strings available in colors other than natural or black at a decent price

Still most likely getting it before years end since it'll fill the jazz bass sized hole in my collection (and a passive 6!)

To me, going all monochromatic makes sense. They're already going quite a bit out on a limb with a sixer, so hedging their bets on a popular color...in this case, with a sparkly twist...sounds like a reasonable business decision. If it's a successful seller, they might release more colors in the future. (I wouldn't be surprised if someone there also wants to avoid the massive overreach they pulled with the Fender Dimension Bass.)
