Nope but it was pretty easy to do. I don't believe there is as of yet a direct replacement. However at first I considered just using different saddles and screws but decided to get a new bridge as it was easier

Squier Squire 6 string Affinity Jazz!

I just ordered this from GC used. I'm *really* hoping that they are as incompetent as I have experienced them to be in the past. Listed as a Squier Strat in the guitar category for $129.99.
I've scored some other used gear from GC online that were similar situations. Ordered something listed incorrectly at a nice price and crossed my fingers until I see what shows up at my door. It's worked out well in the past. So, we'll just have to wait and see!
I had a 6 string SX jazz bass years ago that I put an Audere preamp in that I absolutely loved and foolishly sold. It's one of the few I remember that I really regret selling.

How are people liking this thing? I want a 6 string bass, but I also have an allergy to active circuits. I wanna think this would be a cool cheap option, but I've had subpar experiences with Squiers... most of the time
If you read through the posts by people in this thread who have bought them, you'll see that there aren't really any negative reviews. I got one when they were first available and I bought it as a backup. But I've been using it on a couple gigs. I like the fact that it's passive and I saw no reason to replace the pickups. I did do some mods but it was just for my own personal preferences. It played/sounded great right out of the box. I've been using it on a steady Saturday lounge gig. No one said " really.....squier? what were you thinking? Here's a Short review. "Best bang for your buck six string bass and it punches above it's weight"

The Custom Shop also made Tye Zamora's six string available. At 20k in 2002 dollars, no one bit.

copper shielding in the pickups and control cavities
Guyker machine tuners
ebay string retainers
Allparts metal knobs
Tone monster wire harness with a tone monster PTE (passive tone enhancer)
Guyker individual roller string bridge (Maintains the original string spacing)
I'm planning to upgrade the pickups later, but for right now I love tone and my band love it.
Plus reading this thread has given me some new mod ideals to try.

I modded some stuff on mine, but not the pickups. What's wrong with the pickups that come with it? I've been giging with it and they sound good. I did add a series parallel switch and use it a lot.
I’ve had my Squier 5-string bass for several months now.
I still find it to be quite a decent 6-string bass and especially for the price.
All I’ve modded was to install an Audere preamp (the least expensive one he made) and to supplement the existing shielding.
The OEM pups sound good (well, Jazz-like enough….

I have yet to take it out on a gig, but I have several small combo-style gigs this month and I plan to take on some of those.

I think I want to keep it passive for now. If I need a active 6 string, I can use my M7 or my Schecter.

Is just got mine a couple weeks ago and I'm having a lot of fun with this bass. The neck fells really good and factory setup was really good. I just had to adjust the action to my taste. There seems to be one high fret, but nothing that bothers me too much. It can wait until I have time to take it to a tech. The construction is really solid and seems flawless. The pickups sound nice, but have really low output. They're noisy when soloed, but I think I have it shielded and it might get a little bit better. The tuners are fine, but they look like toys. I might replace them in the future. The bridge seems fine. It feels light and although it is neck heavy, but the right strap fix this. Mine surprisingly has a very dark fretboard. I have a CV Strat and the fretboard on that guitar is a much lighter brown. This one almost looks like rosewood to me. I took it to rehearsal and it sounded great, but I still need to get used to it... Lots of strings!!!
I'd like to hear from other people about your experience in gigs and rehearsals. And also if anyone is installing preamps on it.

Yesterday I installed Gotoh GB707 and I couldn’t be happier. There’s nothing wrong with the stock tuners, they were working fine, but Gotoh is really good, super smooth, and they look better. Super easy to install.

I’ve just installed these pickups and am quite pleased with the results. They work well with TI flats. While performing the swap, I did take the time to add some copper shielding to the pup and control cavity. I am strongly considering putting in the Trickfish preamp that is a drop-in for jazz basses.
Was there any weight savings? I’ve looked at putting Hipshot Ultralight tuners in, but wasn’t sure of the size. I take it that 3/8” is correct based on your experience installing the Gotohs?
