Squier vintage modified club, part 2

Hey everyone I have a Squier fretless Vintage Modified Jazz Bass that I just put in a set of Lindy Fralin Jazz Pickups in hopes that I hoped that would get rid of the buzz that came with the original pups on the bass...but the buzz is still there. Any suggestions ?? Thanks...DAcat :cool:

Does the buzz go away when you touch the strings or the bridge? If not, you may have a poor bridge ground.

Awwwwwwwwwwwww! Sad to see that they aren't available now - or ever.

I DID find some Planet Waves Deluxe Suede Guitar Straps with Conchos - but they are pretty cheap-o looking.

I also found this::: http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...DlIC1TT04m-S3KFcQ&sig2=NTH7Uo8sTsFYVYauNh2xdQ

I'll keep my earballs open for any good ones.

Copper sheathing. Plus unsolder the connections, the factory forgot to strip back the insulation on my neck
Connection to the tone. If you have any soldering skills at all, I would recommend re-soldering all connections.

But definitely get that copper sheathing. Stew Mac has options for it. There is a great video on notreble.com (how to).

Does anyone know if a stock set of Nordstrand big splits would fit in a VM5?
I know I'll have to rout for the pickups. Am more worried bout the string spacing. The stock big splits are 19mm, but the VM5 string spacing is 18mm. Would 1mm off be a big difference/problem?

I'm all excited, yesterday I pulled the trigger on a VMJ5. I would really like to see a VMP5 to go along with my VMP, but I've wanted a VMJ in either 4 or 5 since they first came out, so I'm all aflutter now. Bought it from AMS (as I usually do), and it should be at my door in a few days.

When it gets here, it will be my third VM bass. The other two are the Jaguar with the active boost, and the Precision (the white one), which is my primary gigging bass.
