I lucked out. I didn't expected it to look that good.
I have pickups, and black hardware (hipshot tuners and gotoh bridge, black screws) on order to complete the look.

Did the tuners fit perfectly? Or did you have to make some changes? Want all black hardware on mine.
No they did not. I had to drill new holes and actually called my connection at Hipshot to send me out some new sleeves as the ones that I received were a tad to small. Once I got the new sleeves we had to press em in. On my CV bass's the Hipshot's worked out perfectly.
Just got it yesterday. I'm a drummer and this is my first bass. I'm happy so far.

is Mighty Mite SWAMP ASH BODY FOR FENDER JAZZ BASS good for the squier VM jazz?
i love this bass very much, and the soft maple body has great sound in my taste, but it's very heavy. to much heavy for my back to gig with it.
i thought to replace the body with Mighty Mite body like this -
but i wonder if it have a perfect match or need lot of work to match it with the neck?
and is this body good at all?
anyone got experience with it?
those body's are sell for around 100$ at ebay

, I buy a Mighty Mite neck and put it in about an hour, now the bass is even better, I can get lower action without fret noise
beautiful, been tempted to replace neck on mine (see earlier threads), you might have convinced me to take the plunge. But I am now thinking new pups and pots, rather than neck. the neck has kind of grown on me now.

Yep, added the racing stripes out of boredom and they just stayed, i like em. And cant us 18 year olds enjoy lava lamps too?
