I just got the Authentic Fender - MADE IN USA jazz knobs, and they fit very well on the Jazz, so it might be the same for the Jaguar.

I'll be purchasing a new bass this year. First NBD since 2007.
Been going back and forth trying to decide between so many basses...
Modified SX or Turser JTB-401? CV P in Fiesta Red? VM Jag?
(Obviously my budget is slim, and I plan on spending more for an amp rig and maybe ome pedals.)
Now I believe I am set in my decision: VM P in Amber finish with the maple fingerboard.
Haven't played one in person yet, though I've played several different models of VMs over the past few years. I just think that VM P, especially in Amber w/ the maple neck, is THE BUSINESS!
Likely it will end up my main bass for the forseeable future, if not forever.

The VM-Jag is a killer bass - I have one and it's got such a good voice - or whole BUNCHES of voices - and some extremely powerful p'ups that you will spend a lot of time turning DOWN!
The P/J combo can get you into sound zones that other basses can only dream about.
Can't say it's a sure-thing, but I think the VM-Jags are being sold somewhere at $199.00 each --- new.
I paid $100.00 more than that for mine a few months ago - rats!

Vin Mod TB bass ,re finned in reranch nitro both neck and body...Wilkinson vintage tuners,switchcraft pots and jack,new pickguard,period correct Fender decal...

Does the re-reanch nitro on the neck give it a glossy feel or does it just give that nice vintage tint?

I used the Amber tinted nitro for the neck..It gives it that vintage look and feel...It's a gloss finish,but the feel and look is more like the original older laquer neck Fenders...It's not a thick heavy feel...reranch stuff is awesome...the body is vintage cream nitro...
in the background is my first bass, a vm jazz.
these are the only basses i've played and i've only played a year and a half, so i can only compare the two to each other. that being said, i love the jazz and love the jag even more.

There was a thread around here of someone who got one and a few others saying the quality of the VM77 is nowhere near as good as the rest.
Might be why you aren't seeing many.

That's basically a squier version of the Geddy Lee sunburst jazz (just minus the badass II)
Minus the shaped neck.
Minus the BadAss II bridge.
Minus the high quality pots and proper knobs.
Minus the Alder body.
Minus the '62 Re-Issue pickups.
Minus the really nice tuners.
Oh, yeah... The TSB Geddy has a black/white/black 3-ply pickguard
So, that's basically *nothing* like a Geddy aside from the color and neck binding/inlays...

Vm Jazzes are awesomesauce
And, I *really* like the Lego Tires for knobs! Take PICTURES, man!!

just plain fingerboard. what is special about that? and i dont see any "geddy" style squire at all..
i wish i'm wrong and they'll put some blocks on it.
