Squier vintage modified club

I saw a black replacement bridge for the squier MB 4 on bassguitar resources web site it looks like it might work on the jazz.
tuners are a little more confusing i don't want to drill any new holes.

Is it on this thread or another where a guy took measurements of a bunch of tuners and NONE fit.\ the screwholes: not Fender, Not Hipshot, etc.. I think you'll have to bite the bullet if you want black and no drilling. But if the new tuners cover the holes, it's not too big of a deal, Ultralights are out though. I suppose we could get them powdercoated and it would still cost less Than top end tuners.

I don't think Fender numbers matter to me. Just keep the originals if I were to sell it. Won't happen though for a long time. Which reminds me I don't get why guys put Fender decals on these, they are what they are if it embarrasses you, don't buy one. To me a good piece of wood is a good .....

Nah - I always thought that what this country needs is some dedicated cops with high powered rifles and scopes, sitting in towers alongside the freeways - waiting for someone to break a traffic law and just shoot them from a distance.

Then just leave the bodies and cars on the side of the road as a deterrent to others who might 'forget' once in a while.

No harm done - you nipped it in the bud before it got outta chance to breed again. .

I don't want to open the can of worms that is the HM debate, but I just have to say:

I've heard a lot of people make a lot of claims against HM bridges and what they do to and for the sound of a bass, but THIS one actually makes sense. PERSONALLY, I prefer HM bridges (and yes, the BA-II is a little on the long side, I actually kinda like that :D). I like how they bring more of a full range of sound out of the bass, and I really enjoy the longer sustain. The loss of low-end - to me - is very slight and easy to compensate for. But, I am very comfortable accepting that someone else doesn't like them because of the way they change the tone (which they do - DRASTICALLY).

Maybe you could get the best of both worlds... a High Mass bridge with a string-through-body setup.. Should help keep those lows in place. I know someone with a BA-III on a USA jazz (strung through-body), and it has crazy low-end. *shrug* Looks like one hell of a nice project, man.. Have fun! :bassist:

I have a Kustom KBA-100 I picked up from Music-Go-Round for $250 (sold new-as-used, overstock from Kustom), and it's gig-worthy, for sure. Don't know what your budget is, but $250 was right up my alley. I'm actually shopping for a decent guitar amp, myself.. I just bought a Samick Formula-I Telecaster copy (plays like BUTTER and sounds like ANGELS), and I think my son is getting tired of me jacking his amp....

That music is not my cup-o-tea but you do a real good job with it. Wish I could hear a little more of your bass in the mix.
Checked-out a couple of your other vids too. You get some nice tone from that bass!
