Hello,
i want to modify my bass for the best result at drop tuning,
the music i play is psychedelic rock.

Is it worth it to try or its better to sell it and buy another?

if its worth it what changes and mods i must make?

thanks.

You will need to cut the nut, the bridge will be fine. I personally do not think the bass sounds good tuned that low. I have a student that used to rock his VM in C, it was muddy and sloppy. Mind you, I am sure some folks here will swear by theirs. For what it's worth, my student stopped tuning the Squier low once he got other basses. He had an Epiphone T-bird that neck dove like a son-of-a-gun but it actually played and sounded really good in C but now he has a Dingwall.
