I went to Chicago once as a kid, had fun. I forget nearly everything I ate there save the pizza. That was memorable cause it was good, and I ate a lot. It was also memorable because I then got a full tummy and realized my pants felt alarmingly tight in regions when we got up and decided to walk back to the hotel. As we got pretty far into the walk I was dying, and had to stop, turned out I had grabbed moms pants off the bed of the hotel lol and they had me by the thighs and my pork tendergroin and were not letting go. Last half mile I had to put an arm over both my parents shoulders and barely use my legs as they pummeled my chances at future grandchildren with every movement ratcheting the fabric and zipper down.

OK, to this one to rest:

Just got a call from my Yamaha Pro Audio rep on an unrelated matter so I asked him about this issue. Indeed a regular instrument cable will work just fine. So Joe, don't order anything. You can use a regular instrument cable.

He said you might get some hum or noise, if you do then switching to XLR will get rid of that.

This didn't work with my pre/power setup but I was using a different power amp.

So there you go gents, straight from the horses mouth.

Me neither, only grill cloth I thought might be attenuating the highs is what comes on the fender champ 600, but it sounded good when I owned one and my friends kept his years and never sounded bad either, but that grill cloth was thick.

I've always preferred the metal grill just for the safety to the speakers, but any grill I've fashioned with metal was a rattling mess.

Dad used to travel extensively for work so me and mom would tag along over the summers. Were just sharing a hotel.

There's also the story where my grandpa was to cheap to buy a $15 swim suit so he got a $4 one and went to a water part and it turned see through and they had to steal a families towels to cover him and flee.

Yeah that sum bich is thick for sure. People swap it out for old cloth potato sacks and that looks pretty cool.

I can understand that. Yea, if I was gonna roll with a metal grille on anything DIY, I'd do the "bug eyes" with the small holes, like the ones on Squanch's cab, or for full frontal, go with the custom cut ones that reliable hardware sells, as they do the option for bends on the sides that would make'em a bit more structurally sound, and less likely to flap/flex.

Haha, Just remembered a funny sign I saw on some floor monitors at a place I played in Augusta, GA, that said "Not a footrest, so keep Your goddamned feet off Our new monitors."

I saw someone use like hat material like a straw hat. Or the backs of chairs at cracker barrel... It's an older material, from a simpler time, when the apple blossoms bloomed a little sweeter, the birds a were little chipper and you could drink straight from the stream. Do you remember? Pepperidge farm remembers.
