Stage Rig cart

Anybody ever use one of these carts? Looks pretty intriuging as a cart/amp stand. Longer arms can be purchased for deeper cabs. Any thoughts ?

I used to have something like this.. never trusted it.. built a platform and use a 2wheel truck that cost about $15

I have a small flat folding two wheel folding cart/dolly I keep in my truck all the time behind the back seat. My rigs small enough that much of the time I don't even need it, but if the load in is far enough I'll use it to put 1 or 2 210's on while having my pedal train mini and Neo-Pak bags over one shoulder, Bass in soft bag over other shoulder.

I have something like that myself, but the Stage Rig cart also acts as a stand that can be raised and tilted back. Pretty costly, but looks ruggedly built. I went to their website and they show several photos of musicians using them at gigs, mostly guitar players.

Not to be used as an amp stand with 412's or 410's. Deal breaker. 125 lb. limit. Deal breaker.

You could do better for a lot less money.

That stage cart seems high on price and low on spec. Here's my solution - $55 convertible cart from the local hardware store.

This thing is over three years old now and is going strong. Definite back saver...and it's carried two 410's, 4u rack, basses, tux, gear bag, music stand, throne, yada yada...

i used something similar at my last gig with my neighbor's kickback. got the cart from walmart. it folds up nicely. bungee chord and everything. pretty bitchin if you can find your amp on there.

Aldi's sold one just like this good for 176lbs for $40 (they had them in the US also)

Also if you need reliability you can easily get double the capacity with something cheaper. Often manufacturers try to find new outlets for their products and bill them as being just for what you need when they were actually not designed with that in mind...

I bought the kind that also lays down used on CL for $40.
Great deal, great cart.
90 or so new but DO get the convertible hand truck kind. Worth the money to lay the gear on it & then just pull vs. tip it up & down to get started & at every door

My 410 cabs have castors... the ultimate cart!

However, for my smaller cabs, I use the wonderful Kart-a-bag Super 600 (or the smaller model for really small cabs). It's not cheap, but massive quality, and very small size. It's built like a tank, and MOST importantly, there is never a situation where you have to unload it when schlepping. The very nice curb/stair climbers and the bungee cord fasteners allow me to easily drag my entire rig over curbs, up small flights of loading dock stairs, etc. With my bass on my back and my small amp on top of the cab, it's the easist schlep ever

I've yet to see another cart that even comes close, although again, it's not cheap. Sometimes, you get what you pay for

Thanks, I guess they were'nt big sellers, huh? Still, i would love to find a cart like that where you could actually raise AND tilt back the cab, and never take it off the cart. The photos on the site showed players using the cart with the amp raised and tilted, as if they just rolled it up to the stage like that.

you guys are so silly, go buy some casters and drywall screws. if you really need it all in one piece, go get a one-piece strap ratchet from wally world. you can get the wheels and screws there, too.

These Infiniti 3.5' slide out casters are the best so far IMO. I only removed the back 2 one time to monitor.

Carvin used to recess the mounts which was a nice touch.

I find the folding hand trucks to be just a little too short. By the time you stack two 1x12 cabs and a pedalboard, the load is higher than the handle, putting your knuckles in danger. Plus it is awkward moving heavy loads with the short handle.
