Stainless Steel Rounds on a Precision

When I played the Lawrence Welk special, "Precious Memories," a few years ago on my half-fanned custom P/J, I contacted the Roto rep and got singles in 45-60-80-105 to get a more balanced feel and consistent tone.

Wow! The majority who've answered so are far are traditionalist for sure. Rotosound Swing Bass. I like the sound of them but:

1. Hate the accelerated fretwear, especially compared to DR stainless.
2. Have had numerous times of dull/dead strings out of the pack plus when they were good, the lifespan didn't last as long as other brands.

Thanks! I should have assumed you guys were purists! :)

But not in the P with flats kinda way. :hiding:

LaBella Deep Talkin Rounds, or their ordinary stainless rounds!
You almost slip at the touch, so smooth..
Their ordinary for an all-around great string! They age extremely well too.
Deep talkin rounds for the same thing but... darker 8D
And they cost like the DR! Kinda, sometimes, haha. BSO!!

My favorite keeps coming back to DR Hi-Beams. Rotos die much too quickly, and that signature sound they have that no other string has isn't really what I want. GHS Super Steels are very good strings too (I don't care for Boomers at all, but most other GHS strings are great). D'Addario's old SXL (not "XLs") were good too but didn't fit my pre EB StingRay after they changed the winding length a few decades ago.
