. . . the actor has officially signed on to star in a new Star Trek series for CBS All Access in which he will reprise his role as Picard. Reportedly, the series will not be a reboot of Star Trek: the Next Generation, but an exploration of the next chapter of the character’s life.
We can’t wait to forge new ground, surprise people, and honor generations both new and old,” said Alex Kurtzman, who has been tasked with expanding the Trek franchise." “With overwhelming joy, it’s a privilege to welcome Sir Patrick Stewart back to the Star Trek fold. For over 20 years, fans have hoped for the return of Captain Jean-Luc Picard and that day is finally here. We can’t wait to forge new ground, surprise people, and honor generations both new and old,”
Stewart also confirmed his return to the franchise Saturday at a Star Trek convention in Las Vegas, where he made a surprise appearance onstage."
Additional details about the new series, including its title, episode count, or a premiere date, are being kept under wraps.
He'll be retired and running a horse farm on Pandora.I hope he got a promotion.

Maybe it's the same person who always hangs neighboring planets waaaaaay too close in the sky...Who cropped a dog's ears in the 24th century?

...and so it begins.Who cropped a dog's ears in the 24th century?
Jean Luc Picard is my all time favorite fictional character and Sir Patrick Stewart is a delightful man. But unless this show is drastically different from what they've been putting out and calling Star Trek recently, it'll be another insult to the spirit of Star Trek and an abomination like JJ Trek and Discovery. I'm hoping for the best and expecting the worst. Fans of those movies and that show will probably love it.Someone (not naming names) seems to have some sort of personal grudge against Patrick Stewart and this show.
And is that a “planet”, or a giant lens flare?
